I think we all get burned at some point. My first snake I bought was supposed to be 100% het pied paired to a double visual but that didn’t prove out of 8 eggs 😅 the time we lose I think is the worst part
Right it really is about the time. Yeah we had the same happen to us. One of our early videos the "Mystery Clutch" it was when we first got into this hobby. We didn't know anything and bought a breeder female was told Lesser Het Clown i was like cool. First clutch and we didn't know what we had. She ended up being Mojave Vanilla Enchi not het clown lol. Made a bunch of Vanilla Cream het Clowns though. They are just getting to size now.
Supposedly females have two strings of follicles 1st and secondary can reabsorb and then utilize the second string of follicles
Oh nice. I'm going to be watching those girls like a hawk to see if the start building again.
@@SnakesfortheMemories 💯 happen to me this season with two cypress girls clutch mates hit 18mm and disappeared had me stressed checked them again nothing had given up saw one chilling at the front of the tub checked her was at 12mm now at 16.7mm 🤷🏻♂️

yeah losing $1200 sucks but you can look at me and feel better, i left my collection with a friend when i went travelling to another country, came back and $12,000 of my snakes died, whats worse is i tried to rebuild only having to spend another $2000 to find out everything that i just got are freaking males, so im literally $14,000 in the hole, im broke, i don't have a job and life goes on
That definitely sucks. But stay focused and keep your head up. It can’t rain everyday.

Why don’t you breed him to a clown girl to recoup some of your money. If you straight out sell him you’re definitely going to lose money for sure. I think calico clowns are rising in popularity.
Already have a visual calico clown male. He’s going to make things more powerful than this boy who I wouldn’t use till next year because I already have my pairings going this year. I don’t want to pair him just to try to recoup because every day I keep him it cost money and sometimes it’s just a better idea to just cut your loses.

🤣 Maybe he/she does 😂 Oh I told him as soon as I found out. He said he will make it right. He is a good friends so I'm not to worried. Just another bump in the road.
Ah, he’s a good friend. That’s probably why you took his word for it that he was female and didn’t double and triple check yourself. What’s that they say about an ounce of prevention? It sucks to lose all that time, but at least he’s going to do you right.
