This Mustang is a true survivor! Drinking water like she is in the wild. Think when it gets warmer and there are no puddles, she will just love the "domestic" waterer!!

Ohh I’m so glad your little bay mustang is going to be ok !! I think Journey would be a great name ! And I’m glad your stepping up the progress alittle because when you do finally get to give her a bath she’s going to be gorgeous!! I think it’s going to be a fun experience and so wish I could do something like it but am learning just the same ! Thanks for the vid !❤️🐴

I soak hay pellets in hot water with some salt in the winter with mine, then I don't have to worry about drinking so much. Some honey and cayenne added in will really help generate some warmth and ease colic as well. Hope the cold weather eases up and she balances back out soon!

So great to see someone taking the time to do things at the horse’s pace! I can tell she’ll make you a great friend.
Il sure you’ve already tried it, but do you think she’d accept a warm grain mash? That might warm her slightly 😊

She is all better now, but we didn't try a warm mash. She was only just getting used to grain. So I didn't think she would like it, but that is a good idea.

So glad she’s doing ok. I know,it must have been frustrating not to be able to help her like you would normally do. And maybe she’s drinking the icky water because in the wild, that’s all she had. Who knows?..

Why is there no straw in the shelter & why don't you feed her there? Just wondering.

We were not expecting a snowstorm in the spring and we don't keep straw at my farm. We use wood shavings. This hasn't been an issue with mustangs in my past, but the weather decided to be crazy.

Of course we do, but she is not a fully tamed mustang, so I can't just lead her into a barn.
She has a shelter in the field
