I am in England and use to live 8 miles from Arena Essex raceway, have spend lots of weekends as a child and man watching banging racing....i do not get this, aim is just to crash in to each other with no racing? is it last car running?
What Mustang? I saw maybe the upper half of one. The lower half was rusted away and probably rebuilt from restaurant sized vegetable cans. They usually spend 3 digit numbers for these cars, take out all "useable" parts on such a classic like the interior (if it is not molded away already) and the engine (if it is still there anyways) and put in the drivetrain from a Transit or Ford Scorpio / Mondeo V6 or its Opel equivalents. It may sound strange but these races have probably rescued one classic and brought it back on the road with donation parts for most of these classic bodies that was destroyed after being rusted away beyond restoration anyways. And where did you see a Falcon (honest question). Are you Aussie and mean the Granada using the same body as the Australian Falcon or did you misrecognize the Opel Rekord - which was in a half rusted condition comparable to that Mustang - for a US Ford?
@@skylined5534 Obviously it works. These guys don't pay more for a car just for its name or its show - at least not net. If they see one for let's say 5000 and calculate that they will get 2500 for the drivetrain and 2200 for the interior, they have paid 300 for the body (or whatever is left of it) and the show to start on bangers with a Mustang. No one knows better than them, that they will in maximum drive that car on three occasions (speed heat, points heat, rodeo) during one day, possibly not even making it to the rodeo because that thing left the points heat with less than half its original length and 60° wheel camber on the rear axle. And if that's too expenisve they will just get a cheap Volvo V80, Lexus LS, Mercedes E or Ford Scorpio from the Africa export corner of a car dealership. There you can get off with a 2 digit price tag.
To see some classics getting destroyed like that hurts, the mustang you can get a complete brand new shell so if the paper work is still there, it can be revived, but the Plymouth hearse with a good grille that sure is a rare bird...
You know that it's beyond saving when it folds like paper. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if I was told that the paint was the only thing holding it together at this point.
Klasse video! Had er graag bij geweest 👍👍👍
good race great video👍🏽 the Ford mustang was disintegrating rust 😲
Even if the mustang was beyond saving but whyyyy😭 atleast try to save it

Fastest way to convert your suspension from a road legal car to a dragster. 5:53

Good luck getting ANY original Mustang for three digits regardless of condition.

That hearse was on UK plates? Was it bought from england?
The plates do not belong to the car. These were mounted for show.
That granada estate! 😄
The FIAT Multipla looks a bit handy for this type of thing.
ik begrijp de regels niet helemaal, maar het is wel leuk om te zien
Gewoon lekker botsen, en proberen de manche te overleven.
oh...no...mustang😭😭
The rust had clearly taken its toll on that one.

Still could have been saved.
@@skylined5534 would be cheaper to utilize a reproduction body vs patching up this one.
Woon jij naast de buizerd straat want ik had jouw auto gevonden met je RUclips stikker
Goed gezien! Dat is een van mijn auto's ;)
Poor Ford Mustang 😭
That Mustang was very badly rusted. The best way to redo that car was with a reproduction body.

Bullshit. I've seen worse cars saved. Fancy questioning that? Fight me.
