They are choped carbonfiber molded under pressure. Good strength and easier to manufacture at scale vs normal carbon fiber layup. 2:06

Not sure the exact chemical makeup of the sticks, but when people hear carbon they think light.

Adding adhesive grip/grit for stairs would be a good addition to top surface .

Thanks for the video. I noticed you have the amsteel attached to the stick incorrectly. I think that’s how the one guy broke the stick’s “ear” off.

I’m noticing now on the stick I used it was attached incorrectly based on the directions. I had no issues with it but, yes it was incorrect. The person who broke it off wrapped it around just the ears of the cleats and never crossed over from the pictures I’ve seen. Thanks for watching !

You didn’t attach correctly you went over first you are supposed to go under first

I did it a few different ways and as long as the rope was parallel and tight to start the set was the same. But you are correct the process on the instructions is different than in this video. Appreciate your view and feedback!

    So did you like them?

I used them on my first tree last night, smooth barked red oak. SUPER creaky when stepping on them, was very disappointed. Ive got them wrapped in a ton of stealth strip. Didnt buy because of your vid but now im looking around hoping someone else has experienced it and come up with a solution

@@northeastathlete2376 I have heard of people having similar issues on certain barked trees. Hope it is just an outlier. I’ve yet to see a fix for that though. Good luck this year!

I failed to mention that you may want your make sure the stick has even contact on all 4 teeth so there’s minimal flex. It shouldn’t rub on the tree a crazy amount if there’s good even contact.

Thank you for teh extremely in depth review. Right after watching it, I looked up their website, and they actually have a stealth strip kit custom cut specifically for their sticks now as well.

Thanks for a real world review. I use the original Beast Sticks and think I will stick with them for now simply based on the standoff. Looking forward to more videos as you get going.

Been looking at these HARD. If had an inch more stand-off would be a no brainer for me. I hunt down south where I have to use rubber boots a ton. So this makes me nervous about them

Glad the video helped, stand-off distance is huge for me.

I’m in the same situation - in the south with rubber boots. These are my first climbing sticks, so nothing to compare to. I would like more room, but it would be a trade off for packability. I like them so far.
