Good recipe. But made a slight change for coconut powder i mixed fresh coconut scraped and fried. It was delicious n yammy. Since it is easyly available in my garden i made a change. Thnx for sharing this recipe. Regards Satish

Mostly people make a mistake of frying brinjal first and take it out. Then fry the paste. I always thought that the process was a big mistake as i know sometimes brinjal opens and everything falls apart. I never liked it. Your procedure is best. Coming from Hyderabad, I always made my recipes carefully. But in this the slight change is you have added tamarind pulp step by step which is excellent way of introducing sourness in food. Its a well established method for masala baingan.
Didi this is very tasty, thank you for sharing. So as I see it you don't use finely chopped onion as part of the stuffing like we do in North Karnataka, also we use freshly grated raw coconut. Must try this out.
