Why should he give up on “selfish” when it’s in the top 10 at pop radio. On today’s building chart it’s at number 9 and it’s up over 300 spins. It’s right behind “Texas hold ‘em” at number 8. This is his best performing song at radio in years. Nothing on his last album did this well. The Hot 100 includes streaming and sales but radio still determines what songs are hits. The song must be testing somewhat because radio isn’t in the habit of just dragging songs to the top 10 which still have momentum. His last albums first single “filthy” didn’t crack the top 10 at radio. Also it’s already surpassed the radio performance of Ariana Grande’s first single “Yes, And” at radio, and it’s still growing in spins.
