Wondering if its worth it to buy the last house just to 'harvest' the wood and that cool solid metal bathtub

Might be. But if it were, why hasn't one of the 125 million people in Japan seen that opportunity? Just something to think about. The other thing is that the Japanese government is starting to crack down on derelict homes - but if you knock the house down, the taxes on the land go up. Thanks!

Enjoy your content. Can you show a few renovated properties? Up to 100k, not larger than 100m2 of living space, with big land up to 1000m2. With bonuses of Japanese garden, a few fruit trees and close to a river? Not sure if that’s possible.

The 2 million yen one would have potential in a scenario where you work remotely and need to show up at the office in the more urban part of Kansai a few times per month, especially since limited express Kuroshio does stop at the nearest station(Funami), allowing for a 90 minute train ride to Osaka station, with even better potential if the office is somewhere closer.

So many options. It's great. So people don't have to put themselves in front of financial freight trends like here in Canada

Bruce how much would it cost in USD to demolish the house to the ground and rebuild new.

If you're going to rebuild why not just go buy something nicer that's already been built that's for sale.... But there's lots of prefab housing in Japan that's really popular right now...
I've never personally gone down that road but I'm going to have a look at that and we'll do a video on that. I'd like to learn that anyway
