@Wayne Bishop Well if I am stupid then you are more stupider. There not having completely empty seats and this is amazing. We will see how successful it is after the tour.
The original single was made before Danny Kirwan joined the group. However there's a great live version with Peter and Danny on the Live in Boston album. There's also a live version with Danny and Bob Welch here on RUclips.
The weird thing is, Peter Green wrote Black Magic Woman in 1968 before Buckingham was ever part of the band and before Carlos Santana covered it in 1970. Buckingham made huge contributions to the band but never had anything to do with a lot of their back catalogue and never contributed to "Black Magic Woman."... Can Fleetwood Mac survive without him? It's different but yes they can... They did it for 10 years when he left voluntarily and I hope they keep on playing for years to come...
That's not correct. They did NOT survive after Lindsey's departure. No, they ended up being the opening for Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1994 and part of package with REO Speedwagon and Pat Benetar in 1995. And the 1995 album Time was the first Fleetwood Mac in the band's history not to chart the US Billboard 200! Mick Fleetwood ultimately disbanded Fleetwood Mac in 1996, and when he had done that, he took a job with Lindsey Buckingham who were working on a solo project at the time. ... Not exactly what one would call "surviving" ...
yeah, people need to grow up... no wait most are already old so they should just act their age and be mature not cry babies and throw tantrums because of his departure
Exactly. LB was just an integral part of FM for that period of time. I like how they've morphed over the years. And I think adding Mike Campbell and the other guy made some great additions to an already awesome band.
Darkness of the Night, that is not exactly true. While it is true that Lindsey left, that was prior to the Tango in the Night tour in the 1980s, which was very successful. When the band ended up being an opening act, was after Stevie left too, in the early 1990s.. It is a bit difficult to say that this was due to Lindsey leaving, considering that that he left years prior.
Fuck. Sounded better on the Tango In The Night/Shaking the Cage tour of 1990 with Rick Vito and Billy Burnette standing in for Buckingham. Least Rick is actually a blues guitarist.
To all the comments on Stevie Nicks not being able to sing, I beg to differ. I have seen her live 78 times and she sounds better than ever. Has her voice changed over the years? Of course it has she is over 70 years old and impresses everytime. When you see her sing Beauty and the Beast or Love is live you are amazed that that much voice can come out of that small body. Just enjoy the fact that she is still going strong and the band will play on even without Lindsay.
no she doesn't. Live, she's sounded like a plain old goat many times in the past, and in this video she's phoning it in. Sure, Apple made her a special iPhone XI with all the witchy apps they could make, but its still flat
Re: Mindset, I've said the following: 1) The guys and gals are either in their 70's or looking at it. Whatever issues with Lindsey obviously came to a head and I think it's more to do than touring and whether he wanted to or not, because he too is touring. After 45-50 years of being so "stuck" with someone, the small things get big and you just decide "It's enough". If Stevie didn't give the okay to move on, Lindsey would still be there. Personally, I think he's as big a pain in the ass as he is a world-class talent. 2) Lindsey didn't want to explore anything outside of his era. This is why songs like these have been obsolete. You can get bored playing the same material night after night and tour after tour regardless of where you move the songs around or how large the crowds are. They band sounds fresh because the material is fresh. I'll be in Charlotte!
stevedrums A “big pain in the ass” who gifted the band their star and used his immense talent to turn them into one of the biggest selling and most enduring rock bands of all time. You might want to quit drinking the Mick Kool-Aid.
Forgot to mention it is nice to see everyone having a good time. No tension The past few tours were ego strokes for LB. He is a talented musician but perhaps the days of his way or no way are now over. As we all know it must bother him huge that Stevie has been the most successful member of the band and all she has to do is sing, nothing for her to prove to anyone. LB needs FM to sell 10,000 seats plu.......for Stevie no problem.
Bryan Blake I thought they played better than ever during the last two tours - so maybe some of that Buckingham ego is necessary for his Springsteen-level energy. They sound great on this tour but a little low-energy - which is fine. Nobody can replace a fiery Buckingham guitar.
Besides older pre Stevie, she has always been the star, it's the way it was. Die hards know pre Stevie, but die hards and newer fans know them in the 70s current incarnation.
I think it would be awesome if they traded off lead vocals on this one, between all 3 or 4 singers....... Really echoing the fact FWM has been thru the changes AND survived!
If memory serves me, and it does, Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood both wanted to add "Black Magic Woman" to Fleetwood Mac sets as far back as the "Rumours" tour, but John McVie kept quashing that notion because Santana had the bigger hit on the song and it was now his song and not theirs, anymore.
No one has added mystery and beauty to this song like Peter Green did. Epic and unforgettable. As long as he is not there to do it, Mike Campbell is the best guitarist to do it. His playing is really exquisite. And he plays it better than Buckingham ever did. And certainly better then Santana did with his hyped, stressed 'flamingo' version.
@Wayne Bishop, you are obviously misinformed. Peter Green has toured through the 90's and 2000's. He has won several awards for his solo albums. He is highly respected. And he is the guitarists guitarist. The favourite of many of the most famous guitarists in the world.
Oh, and watch how a simple audience recording of Stevie's Black Magic Woman surpasses Lindseys appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. I've been also seeing a lot of converned fans for him not being able to sell 1/10 of several 1000-1500 venues on his upcoming tour whilw thriving that FM sold "only" 80-90% tickets for shows held in 20000 capacity venues.
Hey man, put the camera on Mike Campbell when he breaks into a solo. Nobody wants to watch Stevie playing tambourine when Mike's kicking ass. Oh and for all you Lindsey haters, he is a great guitar player. Mike Campbell is one of my favorite guitar slingers of all time (seriously under-rated) but don't hate on Lindsey if you've never picked up a guitar. FM in Tacoma in four hours, yah-fing-hoo. Can't wait, I'm already half drunk and seriously stoned.

They are out of ideas; what's next "I Believe My Time Ain't Long" "Shake Your Moneymaker" "Need Your Love So Bad" "Albatross" "Man of the World" "Oh Well" "Rattlesnake Shake" Oh yeah Stevie can no longer sing that was a total fuckin abortion of an attempt. Having seen both versions of Mac several times I would no longer go and see this karaoke event now if it was free.

All the dislikes are from Lindsey whiners. They're so bitter! Love Lindsey, but I'm not dwelling about what happened.
Sublime 🙌🔥
Brilliant ! Well done with the new line up.
This was a great concert at the BOK 💖💖💖 I wasn’t far from this
Oh my goodness I love this! I'm probably going to piss some people off but I'm kind of glad Lindsey got kicked out now and Stevie rocked this!
Maybe without Lindsey, we'll get more Stevie songs? :)
Aaron/Equus21 I hope so.
I’d rather drink micks cool aid than lindsay’s. Lindsay probably spiked it with roofies. He abused women back in the day right?
This is great!! I love how Chris and Mike are jamming together for a bit! Hope you got some of Christine’s songs on video.
They sound great!
Black Magic Woman is now officially a happy song, the anthem of the MeToo movement.
Yass Queen
That was awesoooommmmeee!
Mike Campbell has such great touch on this blues classic.
Fantastic!!!
i wish they would let mike do " Ive got a mind to give up living " or " jumping at shadows" ...he has the touch
Mike Campbell is on 🔥
Forgot to mention it is nice to see everyone having a good time. No tension The past few tours were ego strokes for LB. He is a talented musician but perhaps the days of his way or no way are now over. As we all know it must bother him huge that Stevie has been the most successful member of the band and all she has to do is sing, nothing for her to prove to anyone. LB needs FM to sell 10,000 seats plu.......for Stevie no problem.
yeah, gee, and the song itself is so uplifting and fun and joyful and cheeseburgers!
@@2010mox we have to take into consideration they they're in their 70s, not everybody can be a Rolling Stone or a Bruce.
@@2010mox plus, I think they're designed to be more romantic at this point bc of their following.
This is awesome.
Awsome mike camble
Love this! Can you upload I Got You?
Whoever you are eYe 💙U 4 sharing ~*
Ty so very much~pretty FkN awesome~HOT in fact👄
Yes, of course Is a Fleetwood Mac song, that Santana did play.
Its a Peter Green Fleetwood Mac!!! \m/ So happy thanks Stevie you rule \m/
she's a blues crooner like she's a big band singer - At Last, anyone?
Sorry but Stevie Nicks sounds great here.
Musically, it sounds great with Mike Campbell doing a fine job channeling his inner Peter Green but I'm not thrilled with Stevie's voice at all.
Remember Peter Green
Well done! Gd Sister!
Awesome
yaasss we stan
Me encanta
please upload isnt it midnight if you have it. cheers.
And it's a Fleetwood Mac song...I'm a Black Magic Woman :D
I think it would be awesome if they traded off lead vocals on this one, between all 3 or 4 singers....... Really echoing the fact FWM has been thru the changes AND survived!
what about the other 10 singers and keyboard players
The reason they have a 2nd keyboard player is so Chris doesn’t have to use the 4 keyboard rack, and she can go out front sometimes
The band regularly performed the song live up to 1974 with Danny Kirwan and Bob Welch.
Stevie's definitely had some work done since the last tour. Is she still saying she looks ok because she "doesn't go out in the sun"?
No work done when you see her up close you see the signs of aging, still beautiful.
She IS a godess!
I’m so torn. Couldn’t they have stayed together one last tour for the kids? Lol 😿😿
Man....this made me late for work, but hell yes, Mike Campbell.
Peter Green please come back.
we all wish he could but he has a comfortable life now and is very happy and im happy for that
No one has added mystery and beauty to this song like Peter Green did. Epic and unforgettable. As long as he is not there to do it, Mike Campbell is the best guitarist to do it. His playing is really exquisite. And he plays it better than Buckingham ever did. And certainly better then Santana did with his hyped, stressed 'flamingo' version.
I love anything Stevie sings
Lindsey didn't want to do anymore Mac songs before he was in the band , narcosist ,just saying!
Les admiro FM
I like that she's singing this one but I don't like that they changed the lyrics.
The white witch continues to memorize
good jam hoepully Peter Green will make a guest spot somewhere on this son this tour ty
"I might just break off your magic stick"...that line sure wasn't in the original!!!
What did you use to record this on? If it was a video camera, how did you smuggle it into the concert?!
Without Peter and Danny they should never have played this anymore, although Rick Vito did a very nice shot at it with Mick Fleetwoods Bluesband.
What album is the fleetwood mac song "driven down the cannon singing to my soul cause people out there turn the music down low and they go"?
lol John Stewart got kicked out the of the Kingston Trio for groping the backup singers and Lindsey played with him to annoy Stevie. real true story
The song described is "Gold" by John Stewart. Lindsey and
Stevie backed him on his "Bombs Away Dream Babies" album.

.
Beat that tambourine Stevie. And can we have some mugging? While the band is smoking hot she’s every kind of bad on the vocals.
How about some of Danny Kirwans songs ?
they do Tell Me All The Things You Do
Wow! I think that the Rock gods made this happen! Stevie was meant to sing this song. And Stevie is making 70 look like 35....
They are out of ideas; what's next
"I Believe My Time Ain't Long"
"Shake Your Moneymaker"
"Need Your Love So Bad"
"Albatross"
"Man of the World"
"Oh Well"
"Rattlesnake Shake"
Oh yeah Stevie can no longer sing that was a total fuckin abortion of an attempt.
Having seen both versions of Mac several times I would no longer go and see this karaoke event now if it was free.
