That’s not violation. This is a mother coming to the principal with her concerns that her daughter isn’t being able to eat her lunch and she wanted to inform the principal about her concerns about the other little girl (his daughter)
No violation was made here. I don't like it when people use the wrong terminology for what is being presented because it gets dangerously close to making the mother out to be in the wrong here. For those who don't know, Elizabeth Zott (the mother) is a scientist in the 1950's, and a female Dr House. She was never married, is strictly against the flowery aura portrayed to be around women at the time, and her daughter is from a man that she dated for, as far as I can tell, around 8-9 months. The man died after being hit by a bus while on a run with their dog, after which Elizabeth found out she was pregnant. She was fired from her job by the end of her second trimester, named her daughter after what she felt at the time - "Mad" - and ended up in a cooking show right about the time of the clip in this short.

Lol they way she brought a recipe and a sample to compare was a genius move. It's was a great way to suggest that the food quality and taste might be the issue that is leaving her unsatisfied enough to take someone else's food.
I think the actual problem as well was that the girl's mom had died and was probably previously responsible for cooking prior to her death. The dad probably isn't very good at cooking as he's new to it, so his daughter is often left unsatisfied with his cooking. Madeline was sharing her food with her hungry friend, not having it be stolen. That's a sweet kid right there

My Mom and Grandma were called by my elementary school principal (who HATED me and had a WEIRD vendetta against me to the point she would blame me for things that happened while I was out sick), bc I had given another student some of my paid for hot lunches. Back in the 90s, your parents had to pay a certain amount based on income so kids could have a hot lunch made by the school, otherwise they had to provide your lunch for you. There was always a way to heat up food, some kids brought frozen meals sometimes and the staff warmed them up. This girl was my friend. Her family was well below the poverty line. I ALWAYS shared my food with her. When my family got the call, they told the school the lunches belonged to me, and as long as the food taken was being eaten, I could do with them as I pleased. They said it was my idea to share my lunches, fully aware of what I was doing. We had talked about it after their call. The ONLY "scolding" I got, was for not telling them myself so they could have just paid for her lunches outright. But they refused to tell me I couldn't feed someone hungry, especially another child in school with me. I was raised that you don't eat in front of someone who isn't eating unless you knew they'd already eaten. So they refused to teach me to NOT help others when I can. I continued giving her my lunches until the school district paid for her food. I would still bring her snacks and lunchables and sandwiches, but my family intentionally packed equally for both of us. My Grandma also scolded the school harshly, cussed them out, for not taking the initiative themselves to feed the girl.

Your skin isn't paper don't cut it
Your life isn't a movie don't end it
Your body isn't a book don't judge it
Your heart isn't a door don't lock it
You're beautiful❤

My fav part is that after this, when she's leaving, she goes and gives the guy's daughter some cookies and says something along the lines of "Those are for you! Don't give any to your father."

I kept my bullying secret for years before i had a mental break in front of my parents, twice. If it slowly escalated, it would've been harder to notice
This series needs to continue❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What this called?
@@Kaylah-sq9bsLessons in Chemistry! A really good show based on an even better book about a chemist who is hired to star in a cooking show in the 60’s. Well worth the read!
May I know the name of the movie/series
None of the ads I’ve seen for this show have made me want to watch it but this clip sent me straight to Apple TV
She speaks like an alien doing an impression of a human.
