Could you describe one of your hunts in Africa? I'm very curious to what it was like, a friend of mine is from the Yukon and has hunt Beluga whales before and that was insane story.

I've hunted Kudu, Waterbuck, Springbok, Vaal Rhebok, Steenbok, Duiker, Rooibok (Impala), Wildebeest etc etc. and a few jackal hunts at night. You do NOT call any plains game - I can state that with 100% certainty/

a 300 dropping a buffalo isn't very realistic my dad is a PH and he uses .458 as backup for the hunter and dropping a buffalo with anything lighter than a 375 isn't likely
I’m excited for this map my brother was playing on my account on way of the hunter and he shot a melanistic Mule deer I’ve also shot a few cool rates but Africa definitely gonna be my favorite map looks awesome
Whitetail deer only live about 7 to 10 years. Seems like the Kudu is roughly the same. Id like to see the peep sight colors on the bow string where you can change them if ya want. Maybe also where it would be zoomed in a bit more for people with poor vision. Cool vid man. Thanks for that. Looks like they have made a spectacular DLC. Cant wait.
Great video However I think they have got the hyenas all wrong the females should also be scored in the game not just the males unless I mistook it Among spotted hyenas, females dominate over males in a group. Previously thought due to their size and weight however, males are more likely to leave the clans and join others as they are bottom of the pecking order

I’m pretty sure the alien reference is a Destroy All Humans easter egg sort of thing. I kind of got that idea when he said “alien overlord” that’s what the entire game was based around 😅
Seems like this map could use some more species, missing a lot of cool animals that could have differentiated themselves from cotw rather than just copying the animal list over
I really wish that we could get realistic trophy mounts with more scenery and detail in the mounts in CoTW kinda like these and maybe more multi mounts with more detail
Hopefully this map comes with an update to allow my kids to play dlc maps. The developers sent me an email months ago saying they were fixing it but they haven't. If they can't fix that I probably won't buy more maps
I think the Alien is a Destroy All Humans! reference. That game was published by THQ Nordic and the Alien model looks almost identical to the PC in the DAH game.
Glad you got a chance to show off the new map. I haven't stepped foot in COTW since "Way" came out. Nor have I watched videos of COTW, so I've missed a lot of yours and DD33's videos. I'm a real hunter (like yourself) and I will go with the most realistic hunting experience. Amazing models. And glad they added "story" mode. I'm hoping that means I won't be coaxed into climbing a mountain only to pick flowers. Always hated them deciding what my character would be. I'm glad they fixed that, because "I'm" the hunter, I don't have sex change operation every time I switch maps. I'm super glad though that they have female characters, so the ladies don't have to play a dude. I mean, I would have been perfectly fine playing a female character, but not switching it up. So, they're giving me everything I want in a hunting game, finally. Can't wait to hit this map. Always good brother.
I’m really hoping they will add a sharps rifle and muzzle loader to the game. I think the animators for this game would get the models and animations for those guns perfect
this game is awesome but i dont like insta kill shots like in 6:17 i believe that neither the .50 bmg could insta kill a buffalo without spine ou neck bone shot
The environment/landscape looks amazing, and the animations are excellent. I have to confess, the manes on the male lions look pretty bad in the game, though the trophy lodge one looks good.
I think the really big game drops too fast, but ive never hunted it irl so idk but deer shrug off good 30.06 shots and run 100m so a buffalo can eat 300 winmag maybe? xd
I been playing on the ps5 and i ran into acouple bugs i killed and animal and it disappeared when i went to were i kill it then i shot a animal it dropped then hopped up and start running

Biggest issue so far for me is the lack of a big bore rifle and how wimpy the cape buffalo seem.

its definitely not realistic. I dont mind being able to drop animals in a game, but I do want my beefalo to run a little xD
In some countries the 375 is even the legal minimum. It would've been great to get a 416 or 470 for capes.

Some regions 9,3 is minimum for buffalo,other have energy requirements so .338 Win is one option for that.
