  • In a forest just outside of Berlin 11km of underground tunnels link an abandoned testament to pre-war German architecture and engineering. Before it became a target for allied bombs during WWII its medical facilities once nursed Adolf Hitler through injuries sustained during the 1st World War. After being liberated from the Nazi’s by the Russians this place became their largest hospital complex outside of the Soviet Union. When the Berlin wall came down it provided refuge for Erich Honecker, the head of a state that would soon no longer exist. When it was abandoned it became the hunting ground of Wolfgang Schmit a notorious serial killer. Now it lies abandoned and in ruins, waiting to see what will come next. Welcome to Beelitz Heilstätten Sanatorium.
