i can understand your love for thailand and could tell a lot from the past 36 years. i came at the age of 19 and left at the age of 55. In between I was in other countries (Japan, Singapore, Spain and so on) to earn money, but after a few months I felt homesick for Thailand. I worked in the gastronomy & tour industry and without tourists you can surely guess what happened, I had to go back to Germany. I hope you make it and with your channel you have a chance. Congratulations on 120,000 subs! An e-book could be an additional source of income. Paddy Doyle just got one done and it sells pretty well. He made a video about it. you can have a look at him if you like.

wow my favorite episode so far! I loved every bit of it even the so-called "boring" history lesson. I never knew russia had a region bordered by 2 other countries and now i know. I have lots of admiration for your courage and determination to pursue what you want in life, even though it may not mean earning lots of money and leaving your comfort zone; and despite an early major setback, you never swerved from your goals. people dont realise how difficult it is to relocate to somewhere so far away, and so different. having to adapt to different culture and language; and u did it twice. Amazing. Though I am kind of curious, did your brother and friends come to visit you in Thailand since you have been there?

Hi Blake! Yeah the lockdown was cancelled in April of 2020, if I remember correctly, and I started uploading video daily.
I can't even imagine how are you hanging in there, as the pandemic situation outside of Thailand is more serious.. need to be very strong!
I am truly glad that my videos could help to feel less isolated during this tought time. It was also one of my motivations to creat more videos, as i was watching RUclips videos myself during the lockdown of 2020 just to not get crazy.

I have only start watching your videos within the last week. I have recently married a Thai woman. And in trying to learn the Thai language I came across your RUclips channel. Although I’m not necessarily learning the Thai language, I find you very engaging and love your videos. So this particular video was very good. I love your story and especially the end about your positive attitude and the Thai culture as being positive in a whole. Mickey, i am watching a lot of vloggers who are based in Asia, because Thailand, Vietnam and The Philippines are my best vacations so far, and i am planning for a longer (1-2years of staying there). Glad ive found you, as my style is very close to yours, and you de exactly what i would do in Asia. Go out, visit places non-touristy, talk to locals and eat! Also your videos are good, lot of nice content, and i love how sometimes you give back the feeling of the nature with music especially at sunsets. Good job man! Love & Keep movin!

Wow, what an adventurous and varied life you’ve had in your young life so far! So interesting, and your creative/entrepreneurial spirit is really inspiring. You dare to do what most of the rest of us only dream about doing.
Incidentally, I agree with others that you defy the typical Russian stereotypes (non-smiling, stern, often raunchy, etc.). However, one thing you’ve retained and express often is your wonderful and unique Russian humor. You keep us smiling!
I’ve lived inThailand nearly 20 years, and although I’ve traveled to a lot of your visited destinations, you’ve managed to find more places I haven’t seen yet. As soon as Covid allows, I plan to follow a lot of your footsteps, thanks to this now-historical record on video. Thanks for blazing the trail for many of us.

Good to hear your story Mickey you've been through a few trials and tribulations for sure, but can see your positive attitude wins every time 👍 I don't blame you for falling in love with Asia I grew up in Singapore it was hardest thing to leave that place and I can't wait to get back to Asia. All my plans are around retiring in Thailand now and that will happen as soon as I can do it!
