Nice that shaper is making these video's.
The only bad thing, every product is made to fit the plate.
    That's not in real life.
Would be nice to see the other way around. Cutting things that are bigger than the cut space of the plate.
Or is that not possible to move the plate and proceed the cut?
    🙏

It feels like it needed a standard side clamping assembly for door hinges. Even some simple metal brackets like the Festool MFS. Don't really feel like making DIY plywood jig.

Hopefully TSO or someone similar can provide a nice solution. I'll email a few people then see if there's an interest in the shaper community for a precision attachment.

when setting cutting depth, don't you need to account for the additional height of the plate since it sits on top of your stock? I haven't seen anything where that's taken into account.

the z axis is set off the moment the cutter touches the cutting stock surface and the machine base lifts off whatever it is resting upon. so even though the machine is 1/4" higher than the material being cut, the z axis (depth of cut) is set where the spindle cuts. the x/y axis is still set to the plate plane that the machine is sitting and moves upon.

If you ordered shortly after it was available to order (at least in the US) they're on the trucks...at least mine is.

Is this the product your lead designer quit over? Because it's really pretty awful.
