This week's sleep story is inspired by my mom, who gave herself to everyone when I was a kid. But every day she indulged in a tranquil moment with a cup of tea. In honor of all the nurturing souls out there, this story comes with the reminder to take the time for self-care that you deserve. 🌙 Podcast: podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michelles-sanctuary/episodes/The-Tea-Fields-Cozy-Story-for-Sleep-e2qfse8 Gifts are always appreciated, for those of you who wish you show support: www.buymeacoffee.com/michsanctuary www.paypal.me/michellessanctuary www.venmo.com/michellehotaling
I need this. For so many reasons. I am a mom of 2 kids under 6, and I can’t seem to find the will to increase my mindfulness nor the will to invest in myself. I used to drink tea but switched back to coffee even though it causes me anxiety and physical discomfort . Michelle, you’ve inspired me to start the tea ritual again. I want my children to see me slowing down and enjoying the moments lived- and equally as important, I want to slow down and enjoy the moments lived. Love to all from new jersey ❤
This is so beautiful and how lucky your kids are to have a mom taking care of herself. I am sensitive to coffee as well- even though I love it so much. If I have full caff I have to remind myself I am not losing my mind- it’s just the coffee! Hope you keep tending to your needs 💜
*To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.🥰❤*
Michelle, this story reminds you of those that you relax with a warm beverages including tea, warm spiced apple cider, hot chocolate, etc. So thank you for this cozy storytime. Bless You!❤❤❤❤🍵🍵🍵🍵
I know a few years ago someone wrote "Why's she always talking about how it feels to drink something warm" but I think you understand-- those precious moments with a warm drink can be so soothing. And I hope this story brings that experience!
Tea. Since childood I drink it all day. In the home of my Scottish grandparents, when was it time for tea? When the last tray of teacups and the teapot had been washed and dried. And it was part of every meal, and done properly with tea in a tea pot, not a tea bag floating in hot water. Now living in Germany, that's something I miss about the tea culture from my country, South Africa, where tea is served in pots with extra hot water, so you usually get 2 or 3 cups from one order. It's such a part of friendship, having a cuppa or 10 with a friend while you catch up, it has everything to do with family and friend support and love and taking time for each other. Even the name of my business references it!😂 I would love to know how many people who grew up with a tea culture like this, have ancestors from England, Wales or Scotland.
Tea is amazing ❤. Thank you for this calming tea 🍵 story. I would love to hear a cozy afternoon tea story with a friend or loved one in the Cotswolds or even at someone's home. Maybe a mom, daughter, sister, friend or grandmother could be coming as an overnight guest to spend quality time with us before we drift off to dream feeling loved and thankful for those we love.
I’m not a connoisseur of tea. I’ll imbibe occasionally especially when sick. Years ago I was into Japanese tea ceremonies with green tea when it wasn’t popular. It was the ceremony not the flavor of the tea. Anyway, listening to this was worth it just to hear you say tuk tuk. The only self care I get it usually provided by you and your meditations so this is not my favorite but considering how stressed out I am it was fine. I’ll make the whole thing into a vineyard of deep purple gamay grapes and will consume some with dinner tonight in abundance and as a tribute to your Mom make a cupa of some Lipton decaf with honey and lemon and maybe a drizzle of Benedictine and brandy with a pedestrian Tates oatmeal cookie. This week is going to take its toll on me
This all sounds lovely. I haven’t written much about vineyards as I know many listeners abstain but at the cheese shop these months become my favorite for pairings and those tannic fireside reds. It’s cozy time for many months to come.

What a delightful theme for a bedtime narrative! I am excited for this one, even more so as I am a tea-before-bed listener 😊
I hope you enjoy it-- adding another travel destination to my list. I would love to meander through the tea fields.
