I’m so excited to get into this new Lego Star Wars Game! I grew up playing Lego Star Wars on my Gameboy Advance SP. Which played quite a bit different than it did on consoles. Later I bought the complete saga on the Wii. They were simple games, but as someone who bought multiple lego toy sets growing up, I really loved the lego games comedic take on each mega franchise. My favorite lego games were Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman and Indiana Jones. This new Star Wars game looks like their biggest game yet and even though I haven’t played a lego game since 2012, I’m very excited to jump into the Skywalker Saga! I’m ready for a relaxing game that’ll get a couple chuckles out of me. Especially after spending over a hundred hours in Elden Ring.

We love the Lego games because my son can play them with his now 92 yr old Grandma. They've been playing them together for the past ten yrs and they've helped her to maintain her hand dexterity and mental sharpness much longer than if they hadn't been playing together.

Lego Star Wars is one of my favorite games of all time and probably the reason I love the franchise in general. I’m super happy with this game it’s such a love letter to the past games I love it so much
the original LEGO Star Wars game, (which only included the prequels) was my first video game when I was about 5 on my dad's PS2. While I don't own the new one yet, I am very much looking forward to it.
And theres lore for the ship and characters. They describe what the ship is made from, how heavy, the speed. Its so goddamn in depth. It blew me away seeing that they took the time to find information and a TIE FIGHTER and so fourth.
This has genuinely been a fun game to play. I’m not huge on collectibles or doing everything to completion, but I spent a good few hours on Episode 1. Would do a story mission then a couple side quests, maybe just explore around and take in the environments. It’s a chill, well thought out Star Wars game.

I freaked out and tried to get it back to where it was in one day but couldn't do the podracing level, so my mum who had never touched a controller tried to do it for me and got just as frustrated as i was. I truly hope they do the infinity saga next.. it totally makes sense they have the base graphic engine and all that stuff all they got to do is just convert all the stories into the infinity saga movies

At first I wasn't all that interested as I thought it was just a complete set of the classic lego games. But I see now they pretty much remade the whole thing with new cutscenes. So I'm on board now!
I love that it's not a remaster of the original games, a new experience. I just finished Revenge Of The Sith and it has been absolutely MIND BLOWING the amount of detail...
I miss star wars power battles! I played part of the ds lego star wars so I thought this was going to be a minimal graphics 2d game with no VA. So I dissmissed it as irrelevant but this looked IMMENSE when I saw brief gameplay. When I played on DS before I hit a game breaking glitch I enjoyed breaking everything for studs but when I saw the collection screen I laughed and said no 100% for me thanks.:) good vid jake, thanks.:)
My cousin & I grew up getting 100% completion for every Lego Star Wars on our PS2. Here we are years later, and I’m downloading it right now, ready for some co-op. These games have always been so special to me.
I’ve never played a Lego SW very long, but I look forward to trying this with my kids. LEGO SW animation shows are actually kinda the new door way to the Universe for younger audiences
I grew up on the game cube so rogue squadron and star wars the clone wars and the first lego star wars game then second one as well. I remember being terrified of sidous and darth vader in the original trilogy lego game good times 😂
Y'know... one of my favorite fan theories is about why Luke makes a green lightsaber. Since he makes it at Obi-Won's place on Tatooine, the kyber crystal he uses is actually Qui-Gon's. Obi would've been sure to keep his master's hilt, and I'm sure he didn't have many other's, plus (to my knowledge) there's no cannon explanation on how Luke got a kyber crystal for his green saber. So it's just nice to think that Luke's green blade is a hand me down from Qui-Gon.
I am VERY impressed with how good it looks on Series X. Like I know it's a formula and Lego has always had a specific look and feel, but the environments are gorgeous in this game. And I'm having an absolute blast with it. I've been loving Lego Star Wars since the OG came out, so I think this game really feels like the definitive package. I thought I would want mumble mode, but the voice actors are good enough to make me actually enjoy the dialogue. Worth the wait!
It's a mixed bag for me, mostly positive though. Easier to list the stuff I'm not a fan of. The camera, which I predicted I wouldn't like for this type of game. And so far most of the story levels are short, focused action sequences, and few traditional large puzzle-solving and exploring levels. Where before, for example, you got a full exploration level, ending in the battle with Maul. Her, the level is just Maul. Most of the in between stuff has been reserved for the open world areas, which I love, but I guess I don't like changes to formulas that I don't think were broken.
I think it would be really cool if they added dlc of the other movies and shows. They’re already doing character packs for Mando, solo, rouge one, etc. I think it would be pretty reasonable to be able to create a single 5 level story for each movie with 6 month to 1 year timelines in between each dlc. It would also keep people playing the game for more than just a month
I’ve played every Lego Star Wars game from the first one on ps2 to the force awakens on PS4, and now I’m 28 I can’t afford the new one and find myself envious of kids being able to play it 😭
I use to love the Lego games as a kid but I had zero intention to buy this game until launch. Watched some gameplay and was pretty much sold. It’s a nice nostalgic and refreshing break from Elden ring lol
I grew up on the lego games, especially Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones and while I do engage with a lot of movies and TV shows these days, this game has gotten me excited and I have been looking forward to it so so much more than anything else that is even remotely on my radar. Yes, the nostalgia is strong with this one, but I am honestly ok with it just this once
I'm 30, grew up loving star war's, huge fan of all 9 films, (8 was meh, but still decent), I don't have any kids, or anyone that I'mma play this with, just me, myself, and my PS4 slim, so pumped to see the jokes they make about episode 8, that's gonna be fun! 🙌😃

(not done watching so sorry if you do cover this lol) i feel like it’s also important to consider these games are also marketed to appeal to and be accessible by kids, maybe a little older kids sometimes, but that also does imply limitations and simplicity! omg you just brought this up WHILE i’m typing wow thank you
My gf loves star wars but we only watch the films. She just started getting into video games though, Luigi mansion and pokemon arvues but I think she wants to play this so I'm going to get it this weekend! Excited we can play split screen for sure!
There is something really fun about doing platformer collectathon-ing, but as 4-Lom and Zuckuss.
Jedi powers battles was amazing I miss that game lol it was hard..
I love LEGO Star Wars, I taught my niece how to play it when she was 5 it was the first video game she played and now she’s more into Star Wars than I am lol
The OG Lego Star Wars was the first game I bought with my Xbox as a kid 🙏🏼
I never had a home console, so I played my Star Wars games on the Nintendo DS lite.
LEGO Star Wars The Original Trilogy was rough, but I still enjoyed it. Then came The Complete Saga on the DS and I played that game to death!
The one thing I love about this game is the boss fights they're so well made and so engaging than any other Lego game
I truly hope they do the infinity saga next.. it totally makes sense they have the base graphic engine and all that stuff all they got to do is just convert all the stories into the infinity saga movies
Switch is downloading it now 55mins left...
I never use my switch so thats why I got it on that. Plus my niece can play when she gets older. She is 2.
Good way to get her into gaming and Star Wars
“Video games are tight. Star Wars is tight”
Well said Jacob
At first I wasn't all that interested as I thought it was just a complete set of the classic lego games. But I see now they pretty much remade the whole thing with new cutscenes. So I'm on board now!
You should do a lets play series for it! I would love to watch it!!
Good snow level is on one of the Star Wars arcade game I forget what it is called but it’s amazing
I love that it's not a remaster of the original games, a new experience. I just finished Revenge Of The Sith and it has been absolutely MIND BLOWING the amount of detail...
Man Im so excited about this, but I gotta be an adult and buy a new place to live. Hopefully will get my hands on a copy in the following months
JPB fans unite!!
My cousin & I grew up getting 100% completion for every Lego Star Wars on our PS2. Here we are years later, and I’m downloading it right now, ready for some co-op. These games have always been so special to me.
I was really debating on playing this game. I played lego star wars 2 on the gamecub so I have some good memories of it. Might give it a shot!
6:35 there are few better feelings that you can experience while playing a video game
I really like the game so far. I agree though that the vastness of the open world stuff and the skill tree and all the menus did overwhelm me.
A starwars game similar to content of LSSS but more weapons/hilts. Blaster types to change per character. Open world (planet) ship travel.
I love that he called it free 2 play mode
Y'know... one of my favorite fan theories is about why Luke makes a green lightsaber.
Rebel Assault 2 omg what a throwback!! I can’t believe that was 1995. Did anyone ever play the strategy game Star Wars Rebellion?
To say this game is chalk full of stuff to do would be an understatement. Trying to 100% this game certainly seems like a task in of itself.
I am having a blast playing this game. Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga as a mild RPG is rad.
I'm really enjoying this game, but so very many things to destroy for the coins. My ocd makes me destroy everything, and it's very overwhelming. 🤣
I would love to see the same treatment done for the Lord of the rings and the hobbit series
I'm part of the group of people that like to 100% lego games and I couldn't be more excited to do so in this game
I loved lego Star Wars 2 the original trilogy it was one of my first Star Wars games on PlayStation 2
I remember playing Lego Batman back on the PS3 in the 2000s as a kid. About to play Lego Star Wars for the first time on the PS5. I feel so old now
I wouldn't be into games if it wasn't for cpmplete saga. such a good entry level fun game
Do you think they will add character customization in the future?
