It's probably been 10 years since I've skated on the regular but I love how skate culture and the meta/humor around it is still pretty much just as I remembered it lol.

I was in the Army and stationed in the ROK in 97-98. I skated a few times with some locals in Seoul and We Jon Boo after never being on a board in 10+ years. They had a makeshift skate park setup outside the train station near Camp Red Cloud and another in a park in Seoul. They were a great group of guys.

you should go for a pop shuvit after you get your kick flips down or both, then you should be able to do a tre flip.

먼저 거쳐간 세대로 말씀드리면 '그냥 젊었을때 간지'라던지 '태생적으로 탄력이 좋은 몸'이다 생각하시면 그냥 스팟에서 타고 놀면 되지만 아닌데 '잘타고싶다' 생각하시면 3대 웨이트 병행해서 코어 허리 하체 근육 키우고 타세요. 아니면 몇년안에 무릎연골, 십자인대, 허리, 햄스트링중에 한군데 크게 다치고 늙어서 후유증 남습니다. 손목, 발목 접지르는건 부상축에도 안쳐주죠. 젊어서 간지도 좋지만 가능하면 운동은 웨이트, 수영, 자전거 같은 운동 추천드립니다.
다치고 늙어서 후회하는 아저씨 말 흘려듣지 말아주세요. 그런 아저씨가 저말고도 많이 있습니다.
어떤 운동을 하던 기본 3대 운동은 필수라고 생각해요

The most important thing about skateboarding is having fun second is knowing how to push and ride around. 3rd is Ollie so you can go up and over thing
that ollie in the beginning is the most clean one ive seen yet
As a fat dude who quit skating and started again after 8 years I can say he’s right about standing out in new parks. Most people will look at your gear, board, style of pushing and assume you know or don’t know shit. I thankfully can still push smooth, Ollie smooth, and keep the same mannerisms as I did growing up on a board and honestly get way more respect than the kid who shows up to the park mall grabbing his board with new shoes. Skaters can just tell if someone is brand brand new or if they’ve been there before. Just look like you’ve been there before and you won’t have a problem fitting in.
