Some constructive criticism. While I am happy that the govt is recruiting local women into the counter insurgency force. There are some points which seemed odd here 1) The muzzle discipline and tactical columns of these women troopers is not good, while I can't say for sure how they will perform when a Maoist squad ambushes them, they have to improve on this aspect to work effectively as a coherent unit, And avoid friendly fire incidents. 2) The camouflage uniform that is issued to them doesn't fit with the surrounding terrain, they will be seen by the maoists like a beacon of light in jungles. 3) Although this was a media interview and they were not in operational mode, I wonder if they have a practice of using skin paint camo. If not then it should be a priority for a patroling party. BSF battalions deployed in the Sukma area have got their tactics and procedures right. I think that should be universal knowledge to any state or central forces operating in this area.
