Raskin is a constitutional law professor. That’s why he understands that the job of the Judicial Branch is to determine constitutionality, which the 14th amendment is pretty clear on. This SCROTUS wants to legislate from the bench, essentially overriding the legislative branch of government and freeing themselves of any oversight. That’s anti-democratic and the reason we had the revolutionary war. There have been many amendments in the constitution that aren’t right or fair (slavery and voting restrictions being the two most obvious). It wasn’t the judicial branch that amended them, it was the legislative branch. This court needs to stay in it’s lane.
