I used to journal. I stopped because I doubted it was actual prayer. The way you set it up is beautiful. Gratitude and repent? Wow. Perfect start. I’m going to start journaling today. It’s a great way to go back and see what you asked and testify how He answered. ❤️

Thank you so much- This video helped me a lot. A lot of people in my online community have been recommending starting a prayer journal. I had no idea how though and was too scared to ask.
I'll have to change a few things since I'm not Christian- like add an offering (drawing, poem, ...), specify to which god I'm praying to because we have multiple, we also don't really have a scripture so I have to find something for the stamp.
But overall this definitely helped me.

I love how you spend your time with God, instead of with your journal. I'm completely new to prayer journaling because I always thought that by me writing my prayers down, I wouldn't truly be talking with God, but just like you my mind is easily distracted and I would like to be able to look back at my prayers and see how He has answered them. I know it helps some people to make stuff colorful and to add a bunch of other things, but prayer (in my opinion) should be the laying out of your heart, not your creativity; because then prayer becomes about you and not God's faithfulness to listen and answer you. So, this video was a nice resource for me to get started with prayer journaling because you kept it about God. May God bless you!

Thank you so much for your explanation of a prayer journal. I watched a couple of other videos on the subject but yours made the most sense and was right to the point. I've been wondering if a prayer journal is as effective as traditional praying and the part where you mention it helps you organize your thoughts and helps you focus really rang true for me, I too am also too in my head and I find myself having to redirect myself all the time when praying on mg own and journaling helps me stay focused and deliberate. Thanks!

Do you journal everyday and how do you go about repeating prayer , you said on Monday you like to pray over your success and career,do you do that everyday on Monday until you fill the book 📚
I journal as often as possible! Before starting grad school and working 2 jobs, I journaled everyday. Now, I just do my best to make time lol. And yes, I would use the same topics every week but I would pray for new things related to the same topics. So on one Monday, I might pray for my current job. Next Monday, I might pray for my future job. So on and so forth, I hope that’s helpful!

I just want to know do you right your own personal prayers in future tense or as though you already have what you praying for? Or is there really no difference between the 2 ways?
Yay! I’m happy you found this video, as well. Thanks for watching! That’s a great question. In my prayer journal, I write to God in more of asking/future manner. I’m thanking God & praying for whatever. BUT! There is definitely a difference between praying in future tense & praying as if you already have it! I do both of these, but in separate journals. I love writing so I have journals for everything lol. I hope that helps & please let me know if I can help more. I love exercising my faith & believing for things I can’t see so I do write alot of prayers claiming things I do not have yet & allowing God to determine if those things work in His plan for me ❤️

Is that layout u should for every entry, no matter the day? Or does it vary depending on the tab ur entry is under?? And do u create an entry for every day?
Hey! So I use this layout every time I journal in this particular book. No matter what the tab says, I always use this order! I do not write in this book everyday because it really depends on my mood. Sometimes, I like to just talk to God & have a vent session. Other times, I write in a different journal just to write my feelings. This is a more formal way of prayer that I enjoy doing, but don’t feel required to use this method every single time. Sometimes you just need to talk it out or vent without a layout! I hope that helps & let me know if you have more questions

Hi! Thanks for watching. Unfortunately I do not know what book this is! I purchased it in 2019 from Staples. I never even meant for it to be prayer journal, it’s just what I had in my room already. I’m sure Staples has more that are similar & probably prettier lol. I hope this helps

Hi! Yes, I still use this method for prayer journaling & I believe it is effective. The more I do it, the longer and stronger my prayers are. I still highly recommend it
Where’d u get ur journal from and did it come with the tabs? If not where’d u get ur tabs from and how’d u put them on ur journal
This journal was EXPENSIVE, it’s funny bc I bought this as a resume portfolio at Office Depot. That’s why I didn’t give y’all the details bc I literally grabbed something off the shelf bc I was rushing. It happened to come with a journal that CAME with tabs! That was God lol. But the tabs are like stickies that came inside the cover of the book. You can see the blue flaps in different parts of the video. My prayer journal kinda came complete 😂
This thing was a smooth $30 with a coupon & this was the cheap one! So I do not recommend going to Office Depot
