What are your fortnite settings? If you turn all graphics settings to low but view distance to medium with a 2080 you should get 240hz easy I have 2060 super and get 240hz end game although you will lose quality
2:30 response time IS NOT the amount of delay. That 1ms response time is measuring the amount of time that the monitor can change for one shade of grey to another (GTG response time). 1ms response time just means that it has very little ghosting, it's not actually input delay. One frame at 280hz lasts 3.5ms so even if it meant input delay you'd have much more delay from the frame time anyway.
response time is measured in many ways but the common measurement is from one shade of grey, to another (not very useful). This monitor has an input delay of 1.7ms. It has nearly the same amount of input lag the ASUS ROG swift pg25qn (360hz) does. The ELMB sync is just backlight strobing & VRR (not sure about the VRR part). Backlight strobing is a technique that eliminates the sample and hold blur of LCD's. It adds barley any input lag according to rtings & other sources. It's the best 240/280hz monitor on the market in terms of speed in all areas. The actual response time of this monitor without ELMB + SYNC & the highest overdrive level is 5.7ms on average. The highest overdrive settings i believe gives a response time of 2ms or lower but obviously at the cost of Artifacting (overshoot and halos around moving objects.
Well, you also need to match your 280hz Gaming Monitor to better GPU if you wanted to add some more FPS on your games. But the thing is, only few can afford to buy any of those high end GPU's.
You need to lower graphics settings in most open world esque games like BRs. This monitor is a steal at the price, and is future proofed. Worst case scenario is lowering graphics to achieve frames, or the brightness is too low. Thats it. Sold. Im getting it

The specs are, Intel 17-10700F, 16GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB, 480GB SSD + HDD. Do you think this PC would run well with a 240hs monitor? Plus once I buy this prebuilt I’m going to be giving the graphics card to my friend and replacing it with maybe a GTX 1660 Super or a RX 5700 XT for black friday or maybe christmas when it COULD go on sale, and if not those 2 graphics cards is there any recommendable ones I could get at a affordable price that would run well on fortnite if the 240hz monitor does go well with the PC possibly?
Hey you! I think you have a great pc! Those specs are really good but I don’t think you will reach a consistent 240fps on Fortnite. Most games these days are pretty big and require beefy pc’s to even get 120fps+ . So maybe that 165hz monitor is a better option. From 60 to whatever monitor is going to be a good experience. Doesn’t matter if it’s 240 or 165
@@brupir7376 Oh okay! Thanks for that info:) I’ll make sure to take note of that. @@bennettdurhamm it is amazing, sorry I forgot about this but it’s been worth all the money so far. Overall, I haven’t used many monitors so I can’t give it a fully accurate score, but to me it’s worth
This is not true btw, the only way you can achieve the 1 ms response time is by using 100 overdrive but it’s going to look like shit. why show a game like fortnite that cant even get the 280 fps needed to support it. and what are you basing this difference on. Do you have a 240hz monitor yourself that you can actually compare it too?
No but i can set my monitor to 240 if i want to! Plus Fortnite runs fine with the custom 280 hz cap
@@brupir7376 ah okay i see didnt think of that
Remember me when u go viral plzzz
Rn I’m on Nintendo switch and I’m gonna switch to pc it’s gonna be such an amazing improvement
do you know how it would perform on a xbox series console, would i have 120hz? because i have two monitors one that displays 165hz and the other 240hz. but i cant use my 240hz on my xbox as it wont go to 120hz
Hi do you need a certain graphics card for this pc?
What pc?
@@brupir7376 sorry graphics card for the monitor my bad
@@vibez8572 what’s your cpu and gpu? Are you trying to play at 240hz 1080?
I’m 144 hz I was gonna get a 240 hz but I’m gonna get this
same did you ever get it. if so would you recommend
@@bennettdurhamm just bought it, arrives next Wednesday. Going from 60 to 280, I’ll let you know how it is. :))
@@Sam-cy5ve awesome thanks i’m on the fence about buying it
@@bennettdurhamm it is amazing, sorry I forgot about this but it’s been worth all the money so far. The ELMB sync which apparently makes the screens brightness worse actually doesn’t make it that bad at all, this is the mode you would be using for the 280hz 1ms. Overall, I haven’t used many monitors so I can’t give it a fully accurate score, but to me it’s worth
4:50 Bruh i have a gtx 1080 and cap at 240fps constant until endgame and i even then i get like 180+fps

But like 240hz and 280hz is like same tho
Is it tho?🤷🏼♂️
I think it has HDR so if you do buy turn that on so it looks more crisp
To be honest it looks worse! I tried it many times but this “HDR” looks pretty ass...
Just ordered mine :p
matis vanasse cool!!
Can u use this on Ps4 ?
Fun fact: if you get 280hz which is over clocked you get a 3.5ms response time not 1. If you play at 240hz than its 1ms.
Dang didn’t know this
This is not true btw, the only way you can achieve the 1 ms response time is by using 100 overdrive but it’s going to look like shit. Companies advertise 1ms response time but in order to achieve that you need to use the maximum overdrive setting which makes your screen look like shit. Also 280hz at 80 overdrive is faster than 240 he at 80 overdrive.
@@edgom6216 thanks for letting me know , I’m getting mine soon but they say 80 over drive is overshoot and stay within 40/60 range , is this true ?
@@natedagreatgaming4627 the overshoot is so minimal it's worth the extra ms in response time that 80 overdrive provides imo.
you can use your graphics card software to cap 280 hz
you can use rivatuner to cap your frames.
so like I'm getting a pc that will cap at 240 fps on fort so if I get this 280 hz monitor will the monitor be fine and experience no issues and is there any settings that you recommend on the monitor that should be on
Just low settings except view distance. And you’ll be fine
BruPir thx
If you have a 144hz will you feel a massive difference getting the 280hz?
Huge
Nope no difference. The difference is very small.
@@vymn2009 I can notice 165hz 360fps from 165hz 240fps. Its a considerable notice difference
If u play fast paced games like csgo or valorant, then yes, it is a huge difference.
Can you use freesync
Yes
Are you from the Netherlands or somewhere else?
hey bro im going to order it! is it set to 280hz in the nvidia settings? thank you so much for making this vid, i just didnt know if there actually was a setting for 280hz yet. i heard that 280hz wasnt very consistent but this vid clears that up!
First of all you are very welcome! And secondly, yes in the Nvida control panel you can set it to 280hz if you already overclocked it on the monitor settings
@@brupir7376 nice, how do you go about overclocking ? and its deff worth it cause theres a player named EquitzYT who said that 280hz he heard wasnt good so hes only on 240 but hes insanely cracked so i would hope he does 280
To be honest I don’t know what the best thing is for you. For me it was a small improvement over 240fps but it definitely makes a difference! The only way you could find out is through buying the monitor and try it for yourself!
I just ordered mine 😬
Awesome!!!!
Same :)
I just ordered mine as well! I play fortnite and I know u can change it in the config settings but when u change the max frame rate to 280, in actual fortnite do you uncap, or what do you cap at?
Tariq Abdel so if you go to the gamerusersettings.ini (look on google how to get there) and then there is a setting with framerate=something. Set it to 280 and then save it! That’s it!:)
I think the TUF monitor is hella good. 319 for an ips panel with gsync and 280hz
Yeah it’s good but it has really bad colors and backlight bleed compared to others
see i have a 2080 and an i9 9900k and i dont get over 200fps ingame, then when i complain about it people say its something wrong with my pc lol. this game is just not optimized
This game is pretty damn well optimized. So you are doing something wrong:(
Put every setting to low
one question is it worth to buying?
If you already have 240hz then nahhh... there is a difference but is it worth the 400 euro’s for you? If you have 120 or 144 hell yes
BruPir does it come with a DisplayPort because I currently can’t find any cables that support 280 hz
@@sesmasfamily9969 it's from asus series so it probably will come with Display cable and HDMI cable.
Purified ok
I bought this monitor for my pc
Currently on ps4 i have the monitor I'm just waiting for my last computer parts 😅👌 1 more week...☑
Do you think a GTX 1650 Super can handle 280hz?
Edit: I plan on getting this monitor
i do not think a 1650 super will reach 280fps man
@@brupir7376 i mean yeah, but can it handle the refresh rate or will it not even work? If not, im just gonna put a RTX 3060 Ti on my little wishlist lol
you are not correct......
fortnite could go until 360hz
i have a 3700x and a rtx 2070 super and get 280 all game no drops with epic view distance and everything else on low
Bruh how come mine don't get there. Literally same specs..
jahnny hamer idk I guess it’s different for other ppl but I never drop under 280
What fps do you get?
BruPir on unlimited with epic view distance I get around 500 ish
in the fortnite files you can cap your fps at 280
don't think u can tell a difference between a 240 and 280hz u get 200 fps averages
Me who plays on a 60hz 720p tv.
YeS
He basically says Its a good Monitor Not as bright and If u can get the fps its worth it. (You should wait for the 3080ti to get the 280hz monitor)
Or get the Monitor and then continue waiting for the 3080ti 😅
2080ti pushes 280fps on competitive settings
@@jackh4484 not worth the price i recommend 2080s

Is it 1440p?

400($)
Im only getting 280 hzz bcoz its cheaper than 240 hzz.. its kinda dumb but ill take it
the 280hz oc, actually is not good to have on. It will create overshooting (ghosting) and that's not good :)
That is when you have a delay. But I don’t. Its fast. The response time with the refreshrate is godlike.
@@brupir7376 its true that you get overshooting at under 200 frames which means on fortnite could be detrimental. and I mean massive.
