    2:30 response time IS NOT the amount of delay. That 1ms response time is measuring the amount of time that the monitor can change for one shade of grey to another (GTG response time). 1ms response time just means that it has very little ghosting, it's not actually input delay.
    One frame at 280hz lasts 3.5ms so even if it meant input delay you'd have much more delay from the frame time anyway.

    • @zazabean23
      @zazabean23 4 года назад +1

      response time is measured in many ways but the common measurement is from one shade of grey, to another (not very useful). This monitor has an input delay of 1.7ms. It has nearly the same amount of input lag the ASUS ROG swift pg25qn (360hz) does. The ELMB sync is just backlight strobing & VRR (not sure about the VRR part). Backlight strobing is a technique that eliminates the sample and hold blur of LCD's. It adds barley any input lag according to rtings & other sources. It's the best 240/280hz monitor on the market in terms of speed in all areas. The actual response time of this monitor without ELMB + SYNC & the highest overdrive level is 5.7ms on average. The highest overdrive settings i believe gives a response time of 2ms or lower but obviously at the cost of Artifacting (overshoot and halos around moving objects.

  • @BravenTyler

    You need to lower graphics settings in most open world esque games like BRs. This monitor is a steal at the price, and is future proofed. Its a competitive gaming monitor for a reason. 280+ frames is achieveable in most comp shooters like overwatch, csgo, valorant, siege etc. Utilizing this monitor achieves the most fluidity and frames for accuracy, on top of ips panel. Cant beat this monitor. Its a steal, and you wont be needing a new monitor for at least 4 years with the launch of new hardware. Worst case scenario is lowering graphics to achieve frames, or the brightness is too low. Thats it. Sold. Im getting it

    Hey, I need assistance on deciding which options. Okayy so I have a 60hz monitor and I’m going to replace that moniter with a 165hz monitor or 240hz monitor, buttt.. I have considered I could possibly get a 280hz monitor, and YET I don’t know if I should because I wouldn’t know if a 240hz would even work well on the PC, it’s a iBUYPOWER PC. The specs are, Intel 17-10700F, 16GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB, 480GB SSD + HDD. Do you think this PC would run well with a 240hs monitor? Plus once I buy this prebuilt I’m going to be giving the graphics card to my friend and replacing it with maybe a GTX 1660 Super or a RX 5700 XT for black friday or maybe christmas when it COULD go on sale, and if not those 2 graphics cards is there any recommendable ones I could get at a affordable price that would run well on fortnite if the 240hz monitor does go well with the PC possibly?

    • @brupir7376
      @brupir7376  4 года назад +3

      Hey you! I think you have a great pc! Those specs are really good but I don’t think you will reach a consistent 240fps on Fortnite. Most games these days are pretty big and require beefy pc’s to even get 120fps+ . So maybe that 165hz monitor is a better option. From 60 to whatever monitor is going to be a good experience. Doesn’t matter if it’s 240 or 165

    yes 144fps on a 144hz monitor will look a tad bit choppier than 144 on a 240hz, but is it worth going to 280 instead of 240? not really. If you can get your games to run to 240 thats silky smooth and more than enough. This is like mouse companies advertising 16000 dpi on mice

      if you are using backlight strobing on a 240hz monitor and have your in game frames capped at 144hz, you will experience noticably more crosstalk in your frames.(when frames overlap each other because of the halve of refresh rate) if you plan on playing 144hz for an extended period of time on a game thats more demanding, switching the 240hz monitor's refresh rate to the in-game frame limit can make it more enjoyable

    Fps and hz do not go hand in hand. 144hz does not equal 144fps. Hardware unboxed has a video explaining it. / People think if you have a 144hz monitor then playing at anything higher than 144fps is useless. Which it’s not. Just an fyi to educate more people.

      If i get 300 fps in Fortnite. I will only see 280. Because my monitor refresh rate is 280. It makes it more stable because when it drops till 290 i will still have the same experience. So yes it is not the same thing, but I will always see the what my monitor can go up to. If only my fps in game is higher
