  • The first time my friend from New York came to visit me, she had a hard time finding her way around Boston.
She was so frustrated with the confusing street signs and strange abbreviations that she said "Boston is just one big maze of confusion!" I couldn't help but laugh.
It's true that Boston is a little different than other cities in the country, but it only takes one day to learn your way around!
Today we're going to walk around City Hall Plaza, Quincy Market & Christopher Columbus Park in Boston.
The Boston City Hall Plaza is the perfect place to hang out in if you want your day off to start on a sunny note. The open space provides plenty of room for lounging and playing, which makes it popular with both students from nearby schools as well as local families who use the facilities during their lunch hour.
Boston's historic Quincy Market is known as the "focal point of New England," so much that it has been named one of America's most famous landmarks. This market was built in 1824-26 and serves a variety purposes, like hosting farmer markets, outdoor concerts or festivals!
The city would not have had this iconic landmark if Mayor Josiah Quincy hadn't decided to build Boston’s first public marketplace without any tax dollars spent at all.
The Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park is a public park in the North End of Boston. It offers stunning views and an excellent place for lunch at one of its many food trucks or restaurants, but it's also home to some iconic spots like Mike's Pastry which has been deemed "Boston’s most famous bakery."
The Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park is a great spot in downtown Boston that includes scenic water vistas as well as plenty tasty places to eat right on site!
