I can see where you're coming from. I gave both L'Arc~en~Ciel and DEATHGAZE some listening. Both of these bands have a very punk rockish foundation but that is also true for Deftones.
I found L'Arc~en~Ciel's style of music highly punk rock like and DEATHGAZE having a stronger flavor of nu-metal/punk rock in their music to resemble this particular trailer's music. However, Deftones is more appropriate in this case because the track here is almost solely resembling Deftones's style.
Deftones started in the late 80s and have popularized their own unique style of music which is punk, alternative rock/metal, drone rock and nu-metal genre inspired. I find that the slow alternative/drony element is missing in both L'Arc~en~Ciel and DEATHGAZE's music. For example, you can listen to two songs by Deftones named "Be quiet and drive far away" and the chorus of "Sextape". For me, this trailer's music just perfectly emulates these styles.
I'd recommend you give an early album from deftones a listen. Who knows, maybe you'd end up liking them more than the other two bands! Nothing wrong with trying more music. :)
I'm not an mmo fan, but I'm really glad this game found success because I love this franchise.

I’m guessing it’s because the Final Fantasy spin-offs and MMOs retain the pre-FF7 classic look while the modern games have used the post-FF7 look.

@@theknack101 That's right, but we should be able to hear most of the song from the new and complete trailer, like they did with ShB. This time we should only have 2 versions of it too, instead of the habitual 3, cuz covid.
There's so much Final Fantasy 4 influence and I love it. The WoL was a Dark Knight for Shadowbringers but has transitioned into Paladin, just like Cecil. And, just like in FFIV, we are going to the moon. Hopefully the rest of the Baron Set finally gets released.
They also made a mount of the Lunar Whale and minions of Edge, Rosa, and Rydia
But the FF4 references make me worry for the twins!

It has been announced also PS5 open beta April. After that Ps5 version is free to upgrade to from ps4 version as long you have the license of the ps4 version. It was all covered in the showcase before so be ready.

@@ivanramos7609 yea, youre still playing on in optimized gameplay at30fps locked. PS5 will have it lock to 50-60 fps and 4k resolution and also, load times will be extremely faster

Him and Noseworthy, cause that is the thing bungie has somewhere between 600 and 800 people and the game is so substandard that it HURTS, that is 400 to 600 more than the 200 or so people square enix has working on ffxiv, and bungie can't produce an even moderately equivalent quality product to ffxiv?
The only explanation is a lack of vision and or talent, and concrete plan for executing said vision

They have an entire CGI animation studio called Visual Works that makes all these CGI cutscenes and movies (yes, FF7AC and Kingsglaive too). All the CGI that you can find in Square games? It's these guys. So I'm sure they'll never stop.

@@zacharietelles7626 I think it's likely to be where the new raid takes place; the architecture is extremely similar to pandemonium (even down to the throne) in ff9. The new raid is even called Pandaemonium (the void sent living on the void ark sometimes called daemons)

Its never too late. I started playing this time last year and I felt loads of people came in at the same time. Now I see loads more beginner players than I have before. Its worth the go, I haven't stopped playing it since I started a year ago. Absolutely solid Online game.
@@jamesinator100 A while ago I considered trying one of the online titles. After doing some research I found trying to piece the game mechanics to the online aspect was a bit overwhelming. This is coming from a guy who will stop playing other games just to focus on a jrpg.
That's what I keep telling myself since 1998 when Final Fantasy VIII came out.
I hopped in again during quarantine and never looked back.

@@ZaiDrizzleDrop It’s not like we commonly see them? One of the most popular game series of all time and one of the most popular film series of all time use them in most of the titles. Those aren’t even great examples for just how often people actually see them, but they’re definitely things everyone would have seen at some point.

@@solid5502 yup, I can't wait, hopefully it airs with the launch of the newest expansion. The writer knows what to do too, they are huge fans of FF. I find it awesome that they came to S-E and asked them if they could make a show based on a Final Fantasu game and S-E said to pick one, they had the freedom to choose, and they chose FFXIV because since it was an ongoing and evolving game, that it would allow them to make a long form TV show.

Don't speedrun this. Just take it all in and enjoy the game. You have plenty time before this expansion rolls out
You can speedrun when NPCs make a fool out of you and ask you to run back and forth to deliver messages without flying and cheer on sad people.

Interestingly, The Far Edge of Fate was the name of Patch 3.5 in Heavensward. It featured the summoning of Shinryu which Zenos takes control of in Stormblood. That has to be intentional but I wonder why??

@@FSmith-kv4fj the memes are funny, but all I feel when I play is a mix of pity , disgust and sadness that destiny has fallen into mediocrity and subpar content while ffxiv has only continued to surpass itself every new expansion .
I don't think people would even talk about destiny if it weren't for things like this trailer and people in the gaming industry automatically reaching for destiny in comparison to looter shooter or anthem esque game that pops up that claims or someone else states that it's a destiny killer.

Between the Armored Core sounding music, the RG NU Gundam Fin Funnels Healer and the tower that looks like a hive from Alien I have never been so excited. This is going to be so much fun!

I find it funny that Alisae made no negative comment when Derplander saved her, but snapped at Alphinau when he started healing her. She wants Derpy so bad, she's not even trying to hide it.

Right. He didn't heal her, he prevented further damage to her. Healing and defending both count as saving. Alphy and Derpy both saved Allie, just in different ways, but only Alphy gets the back-talk because he took an extra step by asking if she's all right? Sounds petty and bordering ungrateful.
And when you think about it a bit, Derpy and Alphy stole the kill, but only one of them got snapped at. Clearly, there is favoritism going on.
She wanted dat WoL’s Clemency but Alphi ruined the chance.
