I think it's called Fussy cut. It's a quilting/ applique technique used to just describe careful fussy cutting. 🤩
Silly wabbit it IS fussy cut
Yes - scrapbooking it’s called fussy cutting. Just cutting around an image of you don’t have the corresponding die.
Loved all of your Spring decor!! Love your word CENTERIZE, it always makes me chuckle. 😊
Automotive primer will prevent bleed through on anything. One coat. Especially the brown primer. It's a spray. Loved your stuff
Great 👍 love ❤️ it all. It’s called fussy cut, because it is more intricate.
Wow ok I admit it I’m still stuck on that sunflower cutting board!!! It’s amazing!! I’m in snow too Sonnet! Ugh😝Abd I don’t have a beautiful tan😉Looks like you enjoyed your vacation, so happy for you!!
I wish we could tell in advance if a piece will be bleeding through so we could decide to paint it a dark color. I’ve had that same thing happen to me but it did not bleed through until my final step of applying my seal/top coat. SOOOO FRUSTRATING ‼️
Hi, awesome crafts, but what would you sell your Be Happy shelf sitter for? I craft & sell things but never know what to charge.
You are such an inspiration Sonnet! It would've been cute to put "BEE HAPPY"
I thought the same.
Love everything you made!! I think those envelope should be included with the stamps.
I like how the chair turned out but am wondering if sanding the finish before the shellac would have helped with bleed through.
We as humans make up words all the time and they become widespread and then are added to the dictionary...Centerize will eventually become a word, haha!!! I always watch your videos, thank you for the content!
Love them all. Question: are those pillow covers washable after being stamped? I really really loved those.
Fussy cut, not gussy
I got the ussy part right! 🤣 thank you!! ❤️
I’ve heard that close cutting called fussy cutting and you’ve heard gussy, so I guess it depends on the part of the world you’re in 😀
Hi Sonnet! I just sat down to look for a good video and there you were. You never disappoint!💕 You can use fabric markers to color your bees or even colored pencils (just iron the colored pencil parts to embed the pigment and melt the waxy part into your fabric).
Hey Lisa!! Thank you for the kind words!! And always watching!! 😘❤️
Ireland doesn’t really get snow. But it’s been a long WET grey winter so loved these gorgeous sunny spring makes.
The chair STILL came out BEAUTIFUL ❤
You look so nice and tan......Very healthy looking.....so jealous.....Cute, cute shelf sitters....They all turned out absolutely adorable!!!!!! I love the chair.....
On that chair , GingerChicRehab always sprays a black or brown PRIMER before painting. I think ur chair turned out AMAZING. Wondering if u had put some white wax in the those bleed-thru areas if that might have masked it...never the less...still beautiful to me🧡💗🧡
The chair looked great, the bleed through looks natural and picks up on the color in the paper.
Your 'Centerize' is something that does get my attention every time you say it...but then 1 of my dearest cousins (now Heavenly 'Pearl') always said 'flusterated'. So many DIYers are having their own words made into signs or Tshirts...You should make 1 for 'your word'...
"Sonnet's Garden Blooms...Where you can learn how to Centerize a little of life's beauty."
Great video today Sonnet!!! Loved all your projects! I thought they all turned out fabulous! ❤
Hi Sonnet new subby, first of all what a beautiful name you have, I absolutely love your projects you’ve done in this video, and I think the decoupage on the chair looks perfect, it’s different from the norm and stands out more, yes spring is on the way and I can’t wait, one more thing do you ship to the UK?, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Where can I get roll on ink &0r ink pad ???I found adorable bird stamps at $Tree " in my town but NO INK ...ice tried using a big marks alot but no good tall help me pls...🦋
tsp is a solution (both liquid and problem solver) it should be applied before painting; however I have used it on something already painted, let it sit for 24+ hours and then painted again. This stuff works and is sold at home depot. Of course I found out about the product AFTER I had painted the table!!
Oh my goodness! I love everything! Such adorable projects!
Just fyi… it is called “fussy cut”😊
Everything came out beautifully!!😍 On dark wood I usually paint it black or stain a dark color because of the bleeding.
Just stumbled upon your channel and I love you diy’s. I too am from Wisconsin, am currently basking in tropical Sun in Panama. Will be home on Sunday and I dread coming back to snow and ice. I think the chair turned out fantastic.
Dixie Belle has a wonderful product called Boss and it stops any bleed through - it comes in various colors. I like DIY paint but I haven't seen anything in their line like Boss for bleed through
Loved all the projects. Can’t wait to check out what you have in stock. There are a few things I need I have some. But I also cannot get enough… Lol can always use more. Have you tried using the transfers on the dropcloth yet? It works amazing. I have done that quite a few times they turn out so beautiful.
Great video thank you so much for the inspiration
It’s fussy cut, not gussy....l
Maybe next time, try painting a yellow grain sack stripe with a black bee stamped over it? Give you a simple, but fun, pop of yellow on your pillows. 😊
tip...when u encounter an annoying bleed thru...do this...first must prepare the piece with sanding the top coat..dust, clean...next apply two coats of sheelac...let dry for 24 hours at least...two days is best...then lightly sand and apply two more coats of sheelac ...let dry...apply the color u want and see if bleeds...if bleeds allow the color to set for 24 hours and then apply one coat of primer that will take care of the problem...I usually stop the problem with two coats of sheelac and let it dray and then apply the paint...however u have a problem "child"...and such needed a lot of work and love. I only had a problem similar to yours...however the 2 coats of sheelac, and one coat of primer (stain block) and let dry for two days...then i painted the piece and did not have the bleed thru showing up anymore. I used a brush on sheelac and not the spray kind...because the spray give only a very thing coat...with brush on i can use more product which covers better.
Love it all! Pro-tip: hot glue the carrots together before wrapping twine around them. I learned this after my twine kept slipping off. 🙄 love the bee pillows! I did the exact same thing last year on a pillow for my screened porch! I might have to do a couple to sell this year!
I live in Oconomowoc, Wi and thus is my first time watching you. Nice watching someone from Wisconsin. Wondering where you have a booth.
It's a fussy cut......lol
I love those IOD envelopes for stamps, and I also use them with transfer pieces. Keeps everything neat and organized!
Really cute projects! As for the cutting technique…it’s referred to as “fussy” cutting.
Also the terms
THESE ONES ised by soooo many is not good English either but you are adorable and can say Centerized.
Love this video & the carrots! ❤ So cute! I know prices differ across the country, but curious on what you are selling yours for in your booth.
Bring on the SPRING!!! WOOT!! You look sun kissed!🌞
You could try using the sanding block on your paper before applying the medium to get that rough edge. Bring your paper to the edge of a table and sand downward, roughing up the edge gently. A nail file will work too and is great for tight spaces.
Perhaps you could use your kindest regards stamp and “ghost” stamp on the seat. You may like that better. I think the chair is fine as is
Really enjoyed this video watch it on RUclips and Facebook
So excited to order the alphabet stamps. Thankyou.
I have been painting furniture for a long time and any stain that has red in it will bleed. For these pieces usually sand, prime (yes its alot of work) and then paint but it cuts down on coats of paint needed.
Sonnet honey what you are calling bunnies are hares hares have big ears and don't often flop over xxx love love love your channel 💖
You can use food coloring missed with water. Then dry brush it.
Where do you live in Wisconsin? My daughter lives in Fond Du Lac!!
Walnut bleeds too. I’d take some antique wax in the corners to blend it shabby.
Hi, love all the things you create.I craft alot and work with paper , one little tip when cutting tissue. You can use a paint brush with a little bit of water and wherever you want to have cut just paint the water there it will leave a more of a rough cut not to sharp and easier to cut. But if you want it closer to a pic I m not sure if this will work.
I've never been a bee person but I'm really loving the stamps and transfers with them lately, might be getting them soon, also trying the paint inlays
They have ink pens for fabric. Might work for you.
Could you havecpainted the chair black first and them the white to help control bleed thru
When you iron the inked pillow cover, do you put parchment paper or another piece of thin material over it? Or can you iron right over top of the ink?
Love love these spring decor items you made!! Tfs Sonnet
WHERE CAN I GET THE IRON ORCHID TRANSFERS ..HAVE LOOKED & CALLED here in shops in my town Michaels don't carry??...I feel so dense ...😔
On my website: www.sonnetsgardenblooms.com
I love them all! Especially the bunny bait and the pillows!
I just bought the stamp block sets from Michaels, I love them
Loved them all Becky so pretty thank you for the inspiration
Can't wait for spring love your spring flips always fun.
Got to make the bee pillows. I have made bee skeps too, so the theme on my three season porch will bee :o) bee related for summer.
Since centerizing is not a word you can just say I'm centering my stamp.
Can you please tell me where you got the rice paper you used for the bunny bait sitter?
I ❤ all the projects. I think the chair 🪑 is beautiful
Whispering Willow is my favorite transfer.
Love the pillows, great idea…I’m stealing it!
But you could gussy cut and then centerline a transfer. We love you no matter what 💕
Love everyone of these projects!! Beautiful!!
Cute, but you forgot the second e in BEE Happy.
What if you spray painted the chair black first?
Love the little pots! Thank you!
Want to order the Iod stamp pad and black ink if you carry.
I will have to try the carrots and terra cotta pots. Thanks for a good video
How much are you selling the chair for
Great ideas ! Thanks for the inspiration!
Maybe if you sand it first that might help
Love what you do! Cute projects!
What size of boards ….shelf Sitter
❤❤❤!!!! Beautiful projects
I love these projects. Especially the shelf sitters. The pillows are beautiful. Like you I am ready for spring. Thanks Sonnet 🕊️🐝💐
love the rabbit carrot idea ....so clever!
Love this video!!! My favorites were the cute little “Be Happy” sign & Bee pillows…I love the ideas with the DT carrots!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm loving all the bees ❤️❤️❤️
Love how you “centerized” the bee❤
Love the projects! Fav......the 3 shelf sitters. I really need to get the kindest regards stamp!! Thank you for sharing.
Maybe slick stick first on chair
Love these projects! Definitely spring here in Florida 😁. I think the pillow covers are amazing!
Wouldn't the shelf sitters be perfect in a nursery or play room. I'd use them everywhere. They would be darling in a nursing home, they would make anyone smile. All the layering adds so much Sonnet. I always love your projects ❤️. Glad you had a great vacation ❤️
I like “perfectly imperfect!” The imperfectness makes things look fun & whimsical. That bunny & carrot shelf sitter is adorable. Love all the projects though!
I love your spring projects. Keep using “centerize”, 😀. I noticed your vacation tan.
Love the Bee pillow stamped!
The chair. Looks amazing!!! And the bed looks fuzzy with such details
Hi Sonnet! I love the way the bee came out on the shelf sitter! By stamping, paintings and stamping again you created so much dimension, the bee almost looks fuzzy.
Love those bee 🐝 pillows Sonnet! So inspirational. We are coming into autumn here in Australia but I thought I could do some bunnies for Easter 🐇
These turned out so cute and this decoupage paper is gorgeous it almost looks 3 d 🤗💕. These pillow cases are beautiful .
Beautiful plants spring
The envelopes are also good for most Stencils, It makes it easy to file them as well. Love your work, glad you had a nice vaca.
Absolutely loved everything to include the chair. You make this seem extremely easy for someone like me…I get impatient with drying times and I have a heat gun😂
