blessyoIm a 17 year old trying to learn ballet without classes and i just wanna say your videos are super helpful thank you so much, God Bless you tiekka😭✨♥️🌹
Wow!!! I've never heard this explained in such detail. I learned SO much from this. I've always heard "point, point", and I would point but it never looked right and I never understood. Now I do. This is actual technique. Thank you SO very much. My toe points will look much better now. THIS WAS AMAZING.
this was amazing and super super helpful ! I am a complete beginner and I have been learning from home, and can use all the micro instruction I can get. Would you happen to have a video that shows you how to warm the feet and ankles ? I have weak ankles and this has helped strengthen them significantly
Glad it was helpful! Here is a link to a standing foot warmup & conditioning exercise: ruclips.net/video/mG1QIPOGUPo/видео.html And please check back, as new videos are coming! Hi Tiekka! My feet and toes feel so enlivened with your exercises!! I also have the second toe leveled with the big toe as you do! Thank you so much for posting, this really feels great! ❤
thank you very much for your excellent content. i am probably not your typical ballet novice . im an older dude. however i have been following your exercises and videos and i already move in my daily life with more grace easy and beauty. sincere thanks
Hello Tiekka! My legs are all wobbly after the exercises I did today to help me learn ballet. Am I doing something wrong or are my legs just tired? (I have been doing pliés, dégagés, tendus and the five positions, along with some turnout exercices and split training)
Wobbly legs are most likely just an indication that you worked hard and your legs are tired. I hope they feel less wobbly today. If not, remember it’s also important to rest, so give yourself time to recover every few days. This is the secret to happy dancing over the long term. 🥰🌸🩰
Hello! I want to ask you something. I watched another video about pointing the toes, and the teacher said that if someone doesn't learn how to correctly point the toes there will be many injuries in the future & that it's the worst experience to re-learn pointing your toes after many years, and I basically got scared... because I've already started an Absolute Beginner Ballet series, and the truth is that sometimes I curl my toes but I've watched some videos and tried to improve it. It's also a problem for me to point the toes in Rond De Jambe... it's difficult. And I don't want to do the exercises with my toes pointed wrong. I know I ended up not asking anything but yeah. If you have some advice tell me. (I'm telling you all of this because I'm planning to finish those Absolute Beginner series at home and I want to do it right. I will also start ballet in September but I just want to be ready and know some things about it.) And I just do not want to create a problem with this out of nowhere when I'm just trying to learn some things on my own, and then end up starting from the beginning... I'd be so grateful if you gave an answer 💖 (I'm 15 btw)
I have a question. Are these exercises only for ballarina students?? I mean is it healthy and ok for a non dancer to do these just to point their toes or not??
Not relevant but I love that you wear a bun with a high profile. I wear mine like this. Flat bun is just not flattering on me😂 we have a similar face shape. Maybe that’s why. ☺️
Wow! Beautiful pointed toes. Gorgeous tendu. Amazing arched feet. How can I Improve the arch of the foot? This is what I struggle mostly. Have a great day.👍🙏🙏
Thank you! You can improve your arches with a combination of strength and stretch… This is the subject of a video I am working on, so stay tuned! 😊Improving the line of the feet is a patient process that involves proper alignment and use of the foot, as well as targeted stretching. This video teaches that alignment so it’s a good place to start. Thanks for the excellent question! My foot stretching video will be up soon! 🙏😊🩰💕
We all have different structural needs to accommodate, so it's very important to recognize these and work with them. You may have "hammer toes" (I cannot say for sure, but I've known dancers with this condition where their toes are curled/bent.) If this is the case, it should not prevent you from doing ballet, though some corrections/suggestions may not be realistic for you. I know this doesn't fix the situation, but I hope it helps a little. 🥰🌸🩰

These exercises can help anyone to have stronger, more supple feet-which is generally a healthy thing! 😊🩰✨

Oh thank you! I always enjoy a high bun. I feel like that sweep up into the air mirrors what ballet does for the body--- elegant & uplifting! ;-D
I don't have a tennis ball, what do I do?
You can use a ball of similar size or a small can (like a soup can) 😊🩰

My toes are naturally abot curled in :/ find it hard to straighten them out
