Just saying... I LOVE how you both get so PISSED about the injustices in our system. It's especially validating to me when Elana *really* gets going & calls these atrocities out. I appreciate the work you both do SO much.
I really recommend watching the show 'Most Evil' and their ep about the Lipstick Killer. The premise of the show is that killer's crimes are examined and they are placed on a scale of evil, created by a forensic psychologist, Dr. Stone. He often gets to interview these killers, and he does interview Heirens, and any person watching can plainly see he is innocent. It was filmed a few years before he passed, and its absolutely heartbreaking. The actual Lipstick Killer was placed very high on the scale, which is placed for sadistic killers who enjoy torturing and dismemberment, that sort of thing, and I think he placed Heirens at maybe a level 1 or 2 because in his youth, he did enjoy committing crimes. And no Dr. Stone does not think Heirens did it, the pathology of both criminals are not even in the same ballpark. Petty theft vs. like the highest degree of evil in terms of killers.
Sounds like to me that the poice knew who it was or found out who it was and then COVERED. IT. UP. Too many bits of planted evidence and I think the reporter knew who it was too.
1:04:44 I live right down the street from the Dixon Correction Center, and I had no knowledge of this case until today!!! That is wild and so unfair for William 😢
To me, it seems Thomas confessed to the murder for one of two reasons. 1. He is the actual killer 2. He feels shame by the molestation/raping of his own flesh and blood that he would be willing to take the fall for the murder of a child where he just happened to be in the area during the time. He had felt so horrible for being exposed as his child's rapist that he was willing to take the death penalty. My issue with his connection to the murder is the way in which Suzanne's poor body was disassembled. I am with the idea that someone in the hunter/butcher field must likely have committed the deed.

1:04:29 my uncle had a very similar experience and unfortunately only got out because he had to give them what they wanted. 36years he’s denied it.
I want to hear about the detectives afterwards. Y'all mentioned that admitted certain things. What exactly happened?
