- Introducing the newest addition to the FRK quiver, the FRK Swallow in I-Bolic Technology designed by Dan Mann and Kelly Slater. Watch Kelly Slater in Single Sessions Episode 8 check out his stock 5'9" for the first time, followed by surfing at Diamond Head on the South Shore of O'ahu, Hawai'i.
The FRK Swallow was crafted to unlock performance in waves 5' and under, Dan Mann designed the FRK Swallow to be more versatile in its performance characteristics than any other FRK shape that came before it.

In addition to the new swallow tail design, Dan placed an emphasis on better distributing the volume directly between the surfer's stance and worked with Kelly to amplify the effect of the outline in the back third of the board against all-new rocker curves - both down the shape's centerline and on its rails. By specifically perfecting the curve at the board's center when compared with the curve at the rails, the FRK Swallow excels at creating speed in flat, sticky sections, without sacrificing on-rail performance.
Amongst the Slater Designs team, the unanimous feedback has been that the FRK Swallow feels better during downcarves and in fin releases than any other Slater Designs shape.
Designed to be surfed 2" shorter than the FRK and 1" shorter than the FRK+. Recommended to pair with our Endorfins KS1 Fin Set for best performance.
Single Sessions is your opportunity to eaves drop on aspirational performances in relatable waves - the world’s best surfers in everyday conditions riding Firewire and Slater Designs shapes built in Helium and I-Bolic Technology.

Kelly riding 29L?! never thought I’d see the day
My favourite experience with Slater was when Tom Carrol an Kelly came to Phillip island 30 something year's ago , Kelly ripping Express point with only Tom me Kelly an 5 others ,for a week omg the Reo's with his fins an half the board out of the water , an barrel's disappearing into foam ball an coming out , an Tom an Kelly talking me into wave that buy the time l got up it broke over my head lol . One of the best weeks an best surfing memories of my life thanks Tom Carrol an Kelly Slater 👍👍👍👍
Great surfing from Kelly 🤯
'single fin' lol - board looks fun. something special about swallow tails..they pivot in the pocket best i reckon
the GOAT
Plz don't fully etire, you're the main reason I watch the comps, at least continue to do chopes & pipe each year. I'd be surprised if you didn't win both of those contests at least one more time in the next 4-5 years. Fully attainable. You're still the best in heavy barrels. Getting 9+ point rides at those spots, shame cloudies has shifted onto the final 5, wish you could get a wildcard for that. Should be a special Slater wildcard for cloudbreak final 5. The top 5 should be able to defend there spots right? So why not put Kelly in the mix on finals day at big cloudbreak, if he can beat all 5, he gets the title, would be so sick.
In saying that though, overall, stoked for cloudbreak as final venue, far better than trestles. Just wish the king could be in the finals day
Gimme gimme
Moore Junctions
Kelly ripping at diamond head is amazing
Never thought he’d be at DH ever!
I can't believe I'm riding 3 liters less than Kelly. But maybe I should go up; he looks like he could go back on tour on that thing.
That wind noise is awful
Raw sessions are great but chill that noise out next time
Love how the board achieves 29 liters and is under 6’0 and less than 19 wide. That’s pretty sick.
During the FRK Swallow design process, Dan Mann spent a lot of his time working on volume distribution, specifically the way thickness thins out towards the rails, tail and nose, and also the way that width narrows from the center of the plan shape towards the tail and nose. He's on a mission to make performance surfing accessible to all, and an important part of that is ensuring that foam, float and buoyancy are paired with rocker, concave and fin configurations, creating a blend of performance and forgiveness.
Got one that will float 230?
🤙🏽
Seems awesome!this volume in sexy dims...actual Kelly’s weight?
kelly on more board is great
Seeing I surf nothing like Kelly I'd go with the 5'10". Been enjoying my FRK as a daily board in all conditions for over a year now.
Ripping!!
Let's see him riding a board off the rack. Not a handshaped board that nobody can buy
Lmao its so funny how no one know that dems and glassing is different thatn what the shops sell.
I've heard that the pros dont even ride epoxy there polys painted to look epoxy
@@carlislebonzano8018not really, you can tell if they don’t say lft or ibolic under the board name though. Like Jackson Dorian sometimes has a Frk and it doesn’t say ibolic but it has the spray. Sometimes his boards say ibolic
@@foxgd88 So what are they then?
@@carlislebonzano8018 if it doesn’t say Ibolic under the boards name, then it’s a PU board. Brodi sale usually rides PU’s with a spray
Holly Man.... Still surfing as good as anybody else
yeah...bro...i got a ci rocket wide too....go surf somewhere else kell
you are legend ✌
605 Stroman Island
Ripping. Back on tour with that board
Soo Good.
