Thank you for this great video. My husband and I are mountain bikers from the US who hope to move to Vienna soon. We would love to do this ride. Are there some trails in the Wienerwald that are legal to ride on in the winter? I understand many trails are closed from November to March.
Hello Nancy, thank you for your comment. Generally the trails are closed, but you can still ride fire roads and the trailcenter mauerbach has a shorter winter break for example. Feel free to check out my strava for some riding ideas ;) [@bernhard (BB Adventures)]
@@berniesbikeadv Thank you for replying. I'm happy to learn that at least the fire roads are open because I love riding all year, including in the winter. I will definitely check out your strava for more ideas! I prefer rides/trails that are longer distances (25+ km), have some good climbs, and are not extremely technical. Please let me know which trails and sections in the Wienerwald are like that.Thanks, again!
