- The ability to use Get Data from Folder in Power BI is a very useful option. However, if your sheet names are different in the list of Excel files, then you will face a problem. In this video, I’ll explain a method you can use that works regardless of the sheet names.

Great video! What if I have a sheet index range? How would I enter that?
if you have a range, then your sheet names must follow a naming convension, such as Sheet1, Sheet2....
You can extract numbers from the sheet name columns in Power Query and filter it there to include the range you want.
Saved my day
thank you so much, you just saved me

It is very helpful thanks, can we do the same with different worksheet (excel file) names?
Hi Reza, thanks for this tip, really useful. But in my case I have multiple Excel files and each one has a different number of worksheets to be combined. How I can do that please ? Thanks
Hi, how can I import multiple excel files into Power BI without combining the files as the data is all different? The reason is I have 20 excel files. So instead of Get Data > Excel one by one, I want to import one shot.
Thanks man !!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank youuuuu
Is there an alternative way? You said index is one option you can choose. My problem is, that the sheets are not always at the same index
Excellent!!!!
In case I can have different number of sheets on each workbook & I need data on all sheets ..?
Sorry but I can't see why we put 0 in Source{}. If we don't put 0 is it not posible to combine the files? Thank you
