What's your impressions on the build quality of the Downburst packs? For example, the robustness of the welds, fabric coating, buckles, zippers etc? I have owned a few Osprey packs in the past and found their build quality to always be middle-of-the-road. Nevertheless, I found the feature set, warranty policy and customer service on Osprey products to be fantastic in my my experience.
Our initial impression was that Osprey built these packs to endure extreme conditions day in and day out. Build quality and construction is top notch and we would have no issue using these when conditions demand it.
If it’s not submersible it ain’t “completely waterproof”
Anyone knows if the 26L will fit easily under most airline seats? I'm looking to travel superlight. (No carry-on and no check-in)

IPX5 is not "completely waterproof". Should have chosen different language to describe the water resistance ability. Cool bag though.
I wish they had it also in 50 liter range, seem cool
