Something really interesting that Dan Erickson said is that with Helly your character kinda shows how there’s a lot of parallel between tyrant and freedom fighter. So I guess part of the season 2 journey for Helly will be exploring that
Right, i was slightly confused at first but I feel like as the season closed, I could see similarities. Both are extremely stubborn. They stand their ground. Which is why she can't quit and why she's willing to do anything to make her quit. That's all I got for now.
@@SanketParmar-e7t I'd disagree. Dylan learns he has a kid on the outside and becomes the family man of the group (shown through the cube he gets of the MDR team) Irving starts the show with lots of faith in Lumon, and structure and hierarchy,. His outtie is a military man, and he reflects that. But it takes falling in love with Burt and having their relationship forced apart by Lumon that he fights against them, like how his outtie seems to be investigating Lumon. Helly doesn't really change, only learning to accept her situation and try and make the best of it and being a little apathetic like Dylan. Mark goes from being content with his menial job to taking the responsibility of chief of MDR and mentoring Helly and starts to rally the MDR team against Lumon. By the end of the season, Mark's innie and outtie want the same thing. By the end of season one, all of the innies and outties share the same principles (I assume). All except for Helly. Dylan cares about family, biological and occupational; Irving grows distrustful of Lumon, reflecitng his outtie's detective work; Mark wants to quit working at Lumon on the outside and wants to fight back against them on the inside; but Helly wants to burn the place down whilst Helena seems to want to repair her relationship with her father by improving the PR of the severance procedure (although she may have a different motive we aren't aware of yet)
"Seeing a version of herself that's so much more free than she is, there's envy there" The obvious interpretation of that would be Helly R referring to her outie, but I'm curious if maybe her outie envy's her innie not being in the Eagan family.
Yeah I think it means Helena is envious of Helly, because the latter isn't wearing the Eagen name like a chain weighing her down, plus it seems like there's a romance with Mark that Helena sees on the cameras. I expect Helena is very restricted as to who she can have a relationship with (if at all).
I think Helena is going to go inside and pretend to be Helly. When on the inside, she sees that although Helly is a prisoner she is also freer than Helena. She has a love blossoming with Mark and voices her opinion. Helena is controlled by the Eagans and has to keep up appearances.
She has the most polarizing innie and outtie. Totally different people.

@@g17asahandle She is a born leader (literally as an Eagan) and won't tolerate not leading.
Other than Mark not enough character development for other 3 innies.

Most likely the latter. They first is like children’s book level writing
I think Ricken could be an Eagan that wanted to make his fortune on his own.

@@gutsygoddess7 That is the first thing I thought from the first teaser! Helly is actually Helena pretending to be Helly.
Man what a cool character concept
Love her character! Hyped for Fridays episode of season 2. Finally 🎉
Lord! She is a stunner and great actress. Absolutely perfect for both characters.
Ive watched and rewatched the first season sooo many times! So so excited for season 2!
I just hope they don't ruin Helly's character. I really liked her in S1.
Bro. If her Outtie ends up being the Bigger antagonist. THAT’S gonna be so fucking Dope man.
Can’t wait for season 2!
my diva

Love her ❤😊
She fears no one
You have been betrayed. And yet every solution to that problem is deemed "undemocratic".
