To put in perspective. Joe put this route up in 1948. On his feet nailed boots but probably plimsolls with socks over the top. His rope was likely made of hemp and simply tied round his waist with a bowline. Protective gear - slings over a spike or block. So nothing on this one. No chalk. It was probably green and greasy.
@Will McMahon I doubt it affects your chances in any way. I'm looking forward to your next visit to Froggatt where you free solo Hairless and unfortunately have a second camera-not-working mishap so we have to just take it on trust.
I must have missed this vid! You wondered why peope wagch your vids? Well i cant speak for everyone, but I've also lead 3 pebble slab, and shit myself, and toproped Browns and was also too chicken to lead it. So for me, I guess you're relatable, despite probably being half my age! Anyway good to see you back on the grit 💪🏻
The first bit on Three Pebble Slab I’m literally just standing there for ages (like 5/10 minutes in real life) so I tried to include some of it to show how much I was shitting myself but also not have the video be incredibly long and boring, and the second section on Hareless Hare was a top rope with a terrible angle, so I only really included it as a side quest, I always try and get to balance between climbing and non climbing right, and I don’t want the videos to be too long as otherwise I find them boring to watch (and if I find it boring idk what others will think!!).
These are honestly the worst videos ever. Lame. Good Work!
I’ve only just seen this comment but I’m pinning it
Yay!

The man, the myth, the legend. He is back. Someone sponsor him!
Damn it I forgot to ask for a sponsor in this video, hopefully this doesn’t harm my chances!!!!

Thanks for the kind words!
Good to see you back
I’ve got at least 4 more grit seasons confirmed now !!
I know the famous names of these routes, but not the routes. I'm thinking, "seriously, he is using a double rope on that little corner... Oh!".
The O J Simpson of the climbing world
Necky 💪💪💪
Almost the fastest ascent of three pebble slab in USMC history
Not hard when you set the bar so low
Now mate - just a quick question - why do you speed up the climbing bits? Keep em' normal speed :) It's like the chipmunks go climbing.....
