  • A reasonably swift walkthrough of ‪@Orchestral-Tools‬ chamber string library, Pēteris Vasks Strings. I wish I had more time to cover all of the beautiful intricacies of this library, but this will give you an idea of the flavour of it, and I especially couldn't resist exploring those first chair legatos - they're something pretty special in my opinion!
I only had 3 mic positions downloaded - spot, tree cardiod, and surround - of a possible 6 (ribbon, tree omni, AB). So lots more to discover, but I was running out of storage at the time and therein lies the beauty of à la carte downloads!
Hit me up in the comments if you've got this library or if you're contemplating buying it & want to know more about anything - happy to answer any questions!

A subtle expression of each note is transmitted through the string player's bow. Each and every note of the string instruments with depth is beautifully expressed, so I feel like I became to be a conductor. Ultimately, the conductor has no choice but to rely on the expressive ability of each player, but it is as if the conductor becomes an individual player and completes the piece as he or she imagine. It's amazing.

This might be the most beautiful composition I’ve ever heard on one of these software demo videos. Incredibly well done.

I watched the walkthrough of this video, which was great, but seeing what you did with it was SO inspiring. What a beautiful piece of music you've created using this gorgeous library.

Well.. I love you ♥ Your (too short!) composition is tremendous. I've just subscribed to watch/hear more of your talent. Having the Berlin Strings series PV Strings will be a fantastic addition for specific compositions.

The timbres sounds like that of Vasks pieces but the musical examples does not feet. He does not composed this kind of "just efect" music. It was better mock up one of his strings pieces.

Sorry Claire. Legato sounds awful. You have that nasty tail while changing a pitch, For a pro violinist it is disturbing. Also, why do you use so much reverb
