Thanks MH Family Adventures! Even though this wasn't the liveliest of cruises, for those looking for complete relaxation, this sounds like the escape they need. I loved how much lighting and modern decor was present on the ship...definitely gave it a "get comfortable & relax" vibe. The food all looked delicious and the entertainment was on point, but the cruisers were just not into any engagement. Thanks so much for showing us around. And again, love the mixed style vlog. Your voice is great for voice-overs and your just the facts with only minimal opinion is perfect (for me anyway...lol). Was on this ship 2016. Our cabin was smaller than the prison cells at the prison I worked at. Passengers weren’t friendly at all. The crew members were great. The food was good.
Too funny! Yes the cabins are quite small! The crew was pretty good and the passengers were ok- they just seemed to be sleep and not attending the events lol
I was this same sailing!!! I agree the sail away party and the night parties on the pool deck seemed to be lacking, but this cruise was at less than 1/2 capacity. I stayed on for the next 3 day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas for another 3 days and I can tell you that the atmosphere was like night and day... Completely packed, much younger (and engaged) crowd. I will agree with you completely that the buffets were kind of "meh" and that the one in the back was MUCH better.
Side question: Did you end up going to the VIP cocktail hour that you got the invite to? I got the same invite, but on the second cruise!
Loved the ship's cleanliness and upkeep, especially being an older vessel. The food looked great, but what a sad boarding day. We have yet to cruise with NCL, but we hope they get it together before we do. Great vlog!

Whoa!! The bands and singers were good! I would have certainly danced, and I'm pretty much a wallflower! Lol. I felt bad for them, too!! And that poor cruise director and crew because they were really trying to engage the passengers on that sailaway and got NO RESPONSE! How awful!! I felt bad for them, too. Maybe that's the difference between a 3 day and a longer cruise: people just want to totally relax. But dang!!
And the food choices looked basic except for the Indian food and Cagneys steakhouse (which is bad since Cagneys is not even free). I hope things perk up while you're on there. The Parkers shared the same sentiments, so NCL needs to do something for that ship.
PS - Thx for sharing the info on the fee for leaving the country. As a new cruiser, I would never have known that!

I recently sailed on Royal Caribbean last week for the first time. I actually like my NCL cruise much better. My cabin on each NCL cruise was super clean. My RC cabin wasn’t clean at all.
I think that's the 1st cabin I habe ever seen that didn't have a TV. 🤔 Or did I miss it? Awww that sailaway was sad 😢 😂 The singers did really good.
Can't wait to see if the week got any more exciting 😂

We booked Carnival and glad we did. I’m sure this isn’t conducive of every NCL ship but I want to parttyyy
Hey. It did seem abit dreary in places compared with Carnival. But I guess it would appeal to those who prefer a quieter cruise. I like abit of both really.
Yes it’s definitely for those wanting a quiet cruise. I don’t mind that sometimes, but when solo, I want a more upbeat cruise.

New Subbie here. I've been binge watching your videos on this Memorial Day Holiday. Thanks for sharing your positive but honest reviews. Your level of details and tips are top notch. I didn't see your family in this vlog so I'm thinking this was a solo trip. How does solo trips work? Do they have solo cabins and rooms or do you still have to pay for 2 cruisers?
Thank you so much! We appreciate the kind words. Yes this was a solo cruise. Norwegian does have solo cabins and solo discounts. They are the best cruise line in terms of pricing for solo cruisers. Most cruise lines charge double occupancy- NCL doesn’t always. But the solo cabins fill up fast!

OMG I am sailing on NCL sky in July and this video has me scared. It does not look fun to be on this ship at all 😮
If you are looking for relaxation then this is the ship for you! Hopefully it’s a bit more lively in the summer.
