    Disclaimer:
I am, by no means, a hardcore expert at creating builds, I am just sharing something that I had fun playing with.
If you have difficulty using this build, I encourage to modify it, so that it fits your playstyle.
    Cheers!

kickback is basically 3 mk5 shots in one shot with the min pellet count to clap things across the map in the same fashion. But where it really defines itself is that the kickback has wildly better ammo economy and requires less aiming. If your melee is good at killing armor, kickback tends to be better. Where the rippers excel when using an anti armor melee , is with inspiring barrage and blaze away. You become unkillable and your mag dumps become scary (you want to aim for one with 18 magazine because otherwise you wont get 1 stack per shot. This seems really dumb but fatshark is dumb.) Mk5 is good with void shields and has the highest dps overall, mk2 has decent damage at close range except vs unyielding, and mk6 is a nice compromise if you are too wimpy to tame the mk5, plus the mk6 has the only unique spread pattern when braced which makes it more effective at dispatching groups.

Totally agree with you. What is unfortunate is that people gravitate mostly towards either kickback or Mk5 from my time seeing ogryns and Mk6 is forgotten.
Why I say that? Because just as you stated, Mk6 is effective at taking care of groups, but you know what else is good at doing that? The Slab Shield with Pulverize or a club with Haymaker. Problems with armored or carapace? Pick Mk2 or 5 and apply "Can opener" and you're set.

@@Poots20 i use shovel mk5 and a kickback usually, but i do have a few rippers without can opener to run specifically with the shovel. Also, mk6 is really good at cleaning up gun patrols before they have time to spread out.

Mk6 multitool enjoyer here. Why i like it is indeed the spread pattern that makes it surprisingly effective at longer ranges compared to Mk2 or 5 and the quick double tap hipfire is very ammo efficient with decent accuracy vs the 3-round burst of other variants. Can opener makes it good enough against crushers and point blank barrage with fire deals nice damage to bosses.
Mk 5 used to be my go-to ripper with some sniping capability when you could fire only one shot with the sprint canceling but that got patched into oblivion (or at least i can't do it anymore...).

1:43 every ripper does this when you brace it...

Braced MK6 aligns them in a LINE, not a RECTANGLE. I pointed that out because, just as the Ogrynomicon states, this is the only ripper gun that can consistently headshot a lot of enemies in a horde and not pray on the random spray to hit the head.

Mk2 is fine but if you want to shoot more than the first burst you need to brace it lolz

No, Mk VI is not the best overall Ripper gun or ammo efficient. Mk V is the best due to the damage output and minimum pellet count mechanic. Also its burst mode is easy to control if you actually put some effort. I still appreciate that you have enough character to not use the "meta" options. I ran Mk VI with Cavalcade and Flechette. Gun lugger makes any good OP really. Global rending, fire stacks will get nerfed sooner or later, as soon as Fatshark comes back from their 3rd holidays this year.

Good point of view. Almost everyone, including myself can agree that MK V is a beast.
This build wasn’t made with the idea in mind that is the best at everything, it was more to put a bit of light over the less used options. For me, a gun is good if it feels great when shooting and if it’s fun to use.
Mk VI is a fun gun and everyone should give it a try once in while.
