A Big Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake!

- This big guy was found crossing a dirt road where he stopped and posed for some great pictures as well as a great rattle show! His midsection was about the diameter of a softball and he was probably pushing 5' long.
Man what a gorgeous specimen. !!

I have come across alot of these rascals in my hikes in the swamps of Florida,,never agressive they just let you know to stay away

@@shawnaweiss5407 you'd be surprised at how much they eat. They help keep the rodent population in control. Among other things. Just give them a wide berth and they'll be on their merry way, away from you
where is this guy located? I'm staying away from where ever he is.

@@carlomiller1984 True, they don’t live in suburbs except out in in the west, they live all over Phoenix and other Arizona suburbs. But they’re technically the Western diamond rattlesnake, basically the same snake with some minor differences.
@@mikeef747 yes, they said that the eastern diamondback is larger, which makes them even scarier to me, but they're not in well populated areas in Florida, but, you say the western smaller diamondback in Arizona are all over Phoenix area.? thanks for the info, piasan.

In 1961 I caught a 3 1/2 footer, milked it and threw it into an occupied large shower room . When the occupant realized what it was you could hear his scream outside the barracks !! When I looked back in he was hanging from the shower head in a fetal position.
