Great advice, I always take that slight step closer to the plate and choke up on a 2 strike but the step toward the pitcher and observing the catcher position are good tips. I'll use those next time and see what comes of it. Thanks :)
You're welcome
Love your videos
Thanks bro 🙏
Wow, thatsounds good sneaky Major League stuff. I love it thanks.
😉
Question coach my son just finished his 14u travel team heading into highschool but broke his non throwing arm out till Jan any tips or advice you can give us he is pretty down he put alot of work in this summer to get ready for freshman year but he will most likely miss this year 😕
Not sure if you’ve done it already but doing a video assessing each count and how to approach it would be great. As well as discussing percentage of plate coverage in certain counts versus others. Food for thought.
Enjoy watching your videos keep it up.
Awesome thanks! I should get Antonelli to collab w me on this one!
YouGoPro Definitely! Look forward to seeing it.
Those are great tips. Would you also say maybe concentrate on keeping your hands inside the ball more?
Could you do a video for exercise for players in the gym because usual football exercises don't work effectively for baseball players... could you help me out ??? And good video thanks
Yes, I actually got one coming for you next week!
YouGoPro thank you I will be waiting for that video
Awesome!
Disagree with moving up in the box with 2 strikes. You are more apt to chase bad pitches if you are up in the box. Esp sweeping breaking balls and high fastballs which are the pitcher's go-to waste pitches. What works for me is to make yourself shorter (bend knees or bend at the waist) so the high fastballs look high instead of borderline, and expect a breaking pitch outside because a pitcher does not want to come inside 0-2. 1-2 he might come up and in to set up a 2-2 breaking ball. But most pitchers will not come inside when they are ahead in the count.
as an umpire when a batter gets shorter it doesn't change strike zone
I strike out more on well located fastballs more than breaking balls for some reason
Sick content!
Can you do a swing breakdown of Ichiro Suzuki?
Thanks. Sure I can do that! What else would you like to see?
YouGoPro Reading groundball hops?
I'd like to get Antonelli to collab with me on that one. What do you think about that?
@@YouGoPro Awesome!!!!
Great Video! When I’m in 2 strikes I always get caught with the high heater. Is there an approach to hitting the high fastball?
don’t swing if it’s above your hands and if it isn’t then make sure u get on top of it and keep your hands level through the zone. so like no slicing and no uppercutting
He's got a video for this!
Try working this two strike approach in practice on the high tee.
Hey coach can you give me some tips on how to control my 4 seam because I get 2 seam action on my pitch and I just can’t control it I think it is my arm angle 3/4 but that is my comfort spot and I keep working on it but can’t control it. Thanks
Hey Endzo, check this video out I think it will help you! ruclips.net/video/fmn1xPxvK2w/видео.html
Okay thank you
You're welcome
I'd disagree about moving closer to the pitcher with 2 strikes; you want as much time as possible to read the pitch and pick up the rotation on the ball to see if it's going to be a slider outside or just a FB outside and to take if it is way off the plate. Up too close and you might swing at what will be a ball if you let it travel a bit. Also, do hours of tee work with the tee set up low and 3 inches outside and behind the plate and practice staying back and then stepping across the plate and hitting oppo; this will build in improved ability to handle that 2 -strike pitch off the plate.
Hey coach, when did you do the 100K giveaway from asking questions?
I haven’t done it yet 😬 I’ll try to do it this week!
YouGoPro does this count as a question because you are making a video from it? Haha
No, just the office hours video published before I got to 100K
What I do is as I’m going through my rhythm I swing the bat back and forth to the pitcher and catcher and glance as he’s moving to see where it is. Hopefully this helps guys.
Good one but a good catcher will look at the hitters eyes
First one to like
