Hi Cyndee and Hi Mari...also, don't want to forget Simba and River...hi puppies!!! Hugs to all! So enjoyed this one, looking forward to be caught up...if I can find the time.
Great tangle today and as always, you do a beautiful job. I really liked the zendala yesterday. I had to do it several times before I found something I could live with, barely. I like the idea of zendalas and have ordered some coasters that you can draw and paint on that I want to use for them. The coasters are not expensive , though you have to buy a lot of them. I'll try that one again when they get here.
I ordered some coasters for drawing on too from Amazon and finally some tiles too. Got them today from Amazon. I've just been drawing in my art Journal but really want to start using tiles.😁❤
I've missed a few days,so I have a lot of catching up to do. BREATHE... I need to...Been a busy upsetting few days. Yet I'm still here. Thankyou for making me feel like part of your family. Well,a Zentangle community.
Wow Cyndee, what a beautiful composition! I love the final result and so honoured to see one of my patterns Javik popping up in your wonderful project.Thank you very much, I wish you all the best, and I'm glad to see that you have already so many followers. It is very cool what you are doing!!! Warm regards from Belgium.
Ahhhh, yes......one of those pesky “looks better if your lines meet up” tangles. You seem to do it so effortlessly so I’m hoping I’ll get there one day. Just takes practice, right?! Mine did ask for some color so I also went yellow with a touch of red at the base of the Jarvik leaf things. The natural light seemed to work for me - no problem. BTW, there’s no crying in Zentangle (to paraphrase Tom Hanks). Seriously, it distresses me to think of you even getting close to that. Since your videos are always wonderful I want to tell you that I really really appreciate the effort you put into them. Thank you so much!
Back to finish and a REMINDER... no Comparanoia!! Comparing your work to anyone else’s is really unkind to YOU! I know you know this, Cyndee, and I just want to reassure your followers that no matter the age or condition of the artist, that work is your special creative piece. I really messed up by putting the black balls at the ‘wrong’ intersection, but kept on going creating something a little different; thanks goodness for Gelly Rolls that cover all kinds of “Oopsies”!
Yesterday's Zendala just kept askijng for more embellishment. I got a little crazy with it. I had to start over, because I couldn't get the little star points to be symmetrical, AT ALL! Second time around, I didn't tone the circle before starting and just went overboard on filling the color with Inktense colors until it started to look like a stained glass for a gaudy Stonehenge-type church. Anyway, was a lot of fun.
I bought some Derwent intense pencils last year when she used them and haven't since. Be anxious to try them when I can get some decent watercolor paper on hand.
I also wanted to say how much I appreciate all the work you put into your videos...wish it didn't take so much time. Do you ever think you could just do some live videos? It would be so much fun!
This was fun but for the life of me I can’t get the shading down. I even got some Verithin pencils and I tried a light Gray on XO after I totally flubbed it up with graphite. My brain won’t get the concept of “where to shade”. Saying “on one side” of many angles is a problem I guess. I’m running a day behind so I look at other’s already done to get ideas or clarity. I’m a work in progress for sure. 🥴
I have to break this into two parts today; we have someone coming to help us with a chicken door (I’ll explain later!). I discovered yesterday when I created a line where I didn’t want it that using an alcohol marker (clear) over it and THEN using the Gelly Roll to cover the line worked great! No bleed through or mixing with the Gelly Roll!
Shame on you!! You always tell us it's not about the art, it's about the zen!!!! You shouldn't compare your art with anyone elses if your zen is working for you. You do brilliant work and are a great teacher. I'm new to this, but I'm absolutely loving it.
absolutely love javik one of my favorite so far

This really turned out pretty!! I love it! Thank you.
This was fun -- the XO reminds me of "jacks" -- the game!!
I was thinking the same thing ☺️☺️☺️

Yes. The natural light works for me. I love the blue, sparkly nails BTW.
I am getting my paper. I don't have tiles yet.

I could see your lines perfectly, thx for asking.

Hi Cyndee. Your perseverance is amazing! Can I have some? 😉

What about drawing water drops?

Thanks for the tip, Sandy. I ‘ll give it a try - I’m sure the need will arise SOON!
