That was an amazing interview. Bella seemed so comfortable while talking. I'm looking forward to Season 2. Bella is going to be fantastic as Part II Ellie I'm certain of it.
What an entertaining and insightful interview! Great work Vinnie. Bella during her filming of THE LAST OF US was identified as being neurodivergent. Bella is like no other actor in the field today as being a “purist” artist as you will find. Bella writes poetry, paints, draws, plays guitar, composes songs, and is able to grab and transfer abstract ideas to practical in a multitude of medias. I think it’s hard for Bella to explain her acting process and techniques for Bella “feels” everything. Bella’s true “process” is SO intrinsic that it draws from her heart and soul. This 19 year old has UNLIMITED potential. I encourage BackStage to keep following Bella on this wonderful journey. We will all benefit from this wonderful actor.
I noticed that you used the word "identified" and not "diagnosed" when labeling Bella Ramsey as "neurodivergent." I'm not sure whether you know that Bella doesn't have autism. Whatever you were trying to say, they aren't neurodivergent and you are spreading misinformation.
@@lukeshioshio I quoted the article in which it was shared and Bella commented. I am fully aware Bella Ramsey does not have autism. Neurodivergent has a broad spectrum definition in the medical and behavioral sciences. This is a gift of different thinking that will provide benefits throughout Bella's career
@@danielrindfuss9911 You're using the word incorrectly though. Maybe Bella has ADHD or something I'm not aware of, but neurodivergence is used as a way to talk about disorders, not creative thinking.
@@lukeshioshio I standby the original article, Bella's own direct comments on the topic, my clinical licence to practice, and the current usage and expanding understanding by the American Psychologist Association. I do respect your opinion and appreciate the discussion.
A child actor’s performance has blown my mind twice. Hailee Steinfeld in True Grit, and Bella Ramsey in Game of Thrones. I’ve followed the careers of both since. I also laud Bella on being a queer person of faith. We need more.
So if I were to try to put their process into words, it’s the muscle memory of an emotion or sensation that gets them in the right headspace and less of the experience of an emotion. I think most peoples concept of acting is more of the latter. And I get not being particularly sentimental or emotional until I have to say goodbye and accept the passage of time.
My favorite movie ever, ever was The Rescuers 1968. Where Mr Bernard and Mrs Bianca saved that little girl from that mean lady that looks a lot like your talent supervisor. LoL
i could listen to bella talk for hours man i love them

Thank you! Unfortunately I’m at 3 minutes now anyway, but happy I don’t have to wait for this guy to just start for the extra minute 😂
Loved this! Wish it was even longer.
