Use attack speed, evasion, and armour in your jewels. Also lots of elemental/projectile/crossbow damage. Yes this is me going over an update of the same build, but I think I'm pretty much done with it unless I wanna chuck infinite currency at it to make it look better than it is. mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/63156bc2-095a-432d-95f8-349fc90b09a4/builds/f1ecc937-164b-4917-8b8d-d86035961c0d
Very cool build Shinshin! I've always wondered how to buikd on Rapid Shot's strengths. Glad you gave it a shot. Fork and Chain off walls seems like a pretty solid idea even for single target. Just as a small addendum, I'm fairly sure due to the way conversion works in poe 2 that Heft won't interact with gain as extra fire damage. Order would probably be: -take basic physical damage -convert some of the base physical damage to base fire (the 60% from the gem itself) -gain extra fire based on your base damage -heft is applied only to the remaining physical damage (40% non-converted) -other increases and multipliers are applied I'm open to being corrected here though.
1:22 - well said, I wish the devs figure out what type of game they want to have here. Yea as the saying goes "comparison is the killer of joy" but it really is hard to play PoE2 when PoE1 type of gamestyle is so easy to access in this game
Hey Hash! Great video, i actually was trying to do something like this running through the campaign (this kind of build was my plan before release), sadly it didn't work and i eventually switch to galvanic (like 80% of mercs lol). Good to see that it actually can work and work pretty effectively! Nice work man!
I REALLY enjoy the feel and look of rapid shot. I hope it gets some late game scaling buffs. If not though, that's fine too. I enjoyed my time with the build a lot, actually.
Since you need to use accuracy anyways, the Falcon Dive point could be worth it. It gives 1% attack speed per 250 accuracy. A super low xbow you can use for the memes is "rampart raptor" which gives "100% chance to not consume a bolt if you've reloaded recently" it also has super fast attack speed, lol.
That sounds fun. I need to try it out. I also yoinked my points out of falcon dive since it was REALLY sketchy whether or not it was working properly. I had them in for a time, but I couldn't tell if it was ACTUALLY scaling with all the accuracy modifiers.
@@Shinshinvariety It might be one of those things that isn't being reflected correctly on the LCS (lying character screen) or something. I haven't tried it yet, but I've been theorycrafting some kind of accuracy stacking build for a while. Still in the "what the heck should it be" stage.
I'm using the rampart raptor tense crossbow unique for my low lvl merc, it's rly strong for leveling up. Prob can't compete at higher levels tho due to the low base dmg.
@@Shinshinvariety it works with accuracy. i was looking at rapid shot and i went from 26.3 shots per second, to 26.8 shots per second when appointing that node.
This build is a lot of fun and pretty good. The good thing is to know more about it I think the flammability skill helps in boss battles. Avoidance % increase doesn't apply to increased "iron reflexes" defences The speed of travel is very helpful. It's better to take care of it as much as possible. I think it's better to increase the attack speed after taking a lot of damage. In my case, 27% attack speed = 3200 dps The damage increase was 43% = 4100 The speed of attack is relatively hard to obtain, so it would be good to consider. Thanks to you, I'm having a lot of fun playing games. If there's anything wrong, point me out. Have a good game everyone. (It's going to be awkward because it's written with a translator)
I subbed because youve been doing what Ive been doing, Trying to Play POE2 and not turning into POE 1, I just Wish GGG had the game tuned for POE2............Nice build because I am running a Merc playing with stat stacking but not trying to fall back into quarterstaff monk abilities but use the actual crossbow!
Hey, just came across your guide as this is my first character and i happened to be playing this same build (with slightly different pathing as I was going for more evasion rather than hybrid). Something that wasn't clear to me in the video is how to get Sorcery ward? I tried searching for it from my skills but i can't seem to find it. May you help me with this?
Oh I rewatched the video and just noticed it's in the ascendency. I unfortunately chose the other ascendency gemling legionnaire and tried to stack more attributes. I'm currently working to get to my forth ascendency to see if "gem studded" works with getting multiple vitalities on my auras to have high base life regen. even though my max health pool is sitting at 2.5k at level 80
I gathered %40.0 attack speed, do you think we should gather projectile speed also? Since the game showed us rapid shot, i want to do rapid fire build and it seems there are no build for this but basic enhancements.
I remember you would constantly complain about sorcery ward and it reducing your defensive stats, so why even go for it at all? You are spending 4 ascendancy points on it, you could go for something else?
I imagine that's due to his other complaint, dodge+armour is a poor combo so halving it for a faux energy shield is not good but better than that. Could go for pure dodge gear but also doesn't have access to anything that enhances that.
I ran some tests off screen and the risk of no shield at all is too great. I didn’t die, but having to be on the ball 24/7 or some corpse explosion or falling meteor blasting your health to 0 is a bit much of an ask. Like, even competitive pvp games don’t need you to dodge abilities with 0.5 seconds cast times for 10 hours straight or lose 5 hours progress.
It only really struggles with open breaches and while that can be somewhat of a struggle, the game spawning 30 mobs a second is a bit of an outlier. Building around a situation I still manage to beat is isn’t ideal.

The mobalytics talent tree does not capture what stat was selected at each +5 to a stat node. Are they mostly Dex?
@Shinshinvariety after %30 attack speed, rapid shot animation got bugged, its shooting burst. Did this happen to you?
@@OzgurHalc i expirienced the same, i tried to get it to 60 attacks per secound to see if you reach a break poit but sadly no :(
Nice an actual build for the actual video game that doesn't treat itself like a speedbump to a miserable experience.
This is a great build so happy to see a actual build and not just epilepsy simulator
Fun to see you on poe2 man. Great videos, I enjoy them a lot

Good job bro this is the best mercenary build I've seen that didn't went for gemling and HOWA.

These full auto builds make the game look so similar to The Ascent. Which is not a bad thing at all.

Seems like a deadeye would fare well with this build
oh damn didnt know you played PoE , glad you're liking the game have a nice one.
Wouldnt this scale much better on gemling or titan? Great info!
seen a similar build but he playd pathfinder for the Running Assault node
Consider corrosive for gas grenades to break armor?
I would like this kind of builds being actually good, but the difference between this and meta builds is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge

Can i do it with a Gemling Legionare?
It’d be a bit slower on aoe but much faster on damage and easier to live on
