Help! Mike, how can I consolidate totals from two pivot tables? The pivot tables point to Excel tables. Or, is there a better way? And congratulations on 16 years!
Probably use Power Query or Dynamic Arrays based on original tables of data.
hi Mike, last thing I learned sth important about LET function,
as you know I am naming my variables very close to what their purpose is (i.e. StorageStock for instance), Lastweek I was creating a LET formula and there was a need to create variable that starts with 3rd, well it turns out variable starting with number in let will yield an error. I had no idea nor any suspicion that this cant be, and the person whom I was helping figured out that this is the cause. Anywho: do not start your LET variables with numbers.

@@excelisfun yeah, I was using LET for long time, it was 1st time where I used variable with number at the start, and Iwas super confused, why the forrmula itself works but not as the variable. you live and learn :) its a shame that in the tooltip of LET this info is ommited.
This works perfectly fine:
=LET(１,10,２,10,１^２)
(copy paste the formula) 😀
also this is fine:
=LET(１st,10,２nd,10,１st^２nd)
@@Excelambdanice to know, but I just put the formula into excel, the weird 1 from your formula returns 63 from the code function and when I checked 63 in ASCII Table it gave me a question mark. so what are those numbers from your formula exacly?
=LET(１st,10,２nd,10,１st^２nd)
@@ExcelInstructor When CODE returns "?" means you should try UNICODE. There are chars or groups of chars, symbols or other alphabets letters that can be asign as variables or named ranges with no problem.
To type them faster we can use Alt and their respective hex values but for this you have to know how to change some reg keys.
Or using the clipboard Win key+V.
Believe it or not, a symbol variable that works fine (and has CODE value😉):
=LET(·,3,·)

@@amanbodele1616 , I teach the technical side of Power BI: M Code and DAX. I have lots of report and visual stuff too. Remember, the visual stuff is the easy part, the DAX and M Code that makes everything work behind the scenes is the hard part and most important part. At least, my videos are a good start.
