The drying clothes tip struck a chord. I recently moved my plant hospital to the drying area and they have started perking up faster.

Drying clothes near plants or vice versa must be working because my pothos has been THRIVING since I kept it near our drying rack- and I've not even watered it for the last week! Gonna try the dishwash soap in water, hope it works! Thanks Ann!

Keeping my ferns healthy during the winter months is a big headache as the temp really goes down...what I do is huddle all my ferns together.. do that they share their humidity ..and misting them twice a day really helps....and as you rightfully pointed out..splashing water around the plants do create some dampness which is of some help..
