I'm far the next Loomis, he designs blanks I just handcraft them, but thanks for the compliment. I still love my ugly stick gx2 and $40 Lews Hank Parker Speed Stick & the Black Max & Pro Max that's on them and still fish with them. I'm just a gear enthusiast and like building rods to fill time in the winter. I sell most of it, the only stuff I want to keep is my G.Loomis/Shimano Conquest 843c, Custom Phenix X-10 Crankbait Rod, Daiwa Tatula SV, Shimano SLX MGL 70, and maybe the Custom X-Ray SJ-706 and Shimano Metanium MGL.
Well Kayakin KJM I got my first bass today. And a few Crappie on an X-rap haha. Feeling pretty excited and optimistic. I am definitely getting at least 2 or 3 state records this year. So we going fishing this year or what? How many years have I been bugging you about it? 1 or 2? Think just 1 haha. I just talked to a bait shop owner that gave me a bunch of new places to go. Rivers and creeks and whatnot.
You're the guy I met who let me try his kayak right? Congrats on the 1st Bass of the year, I wish I could get some Crappie. That's pretty funny you got them on a X-rap though. Good luck with those State Records this year. I'm not setting any goals this year, other than enjoying the outdoors. It's so windy right now, I can't get out in my kayak and the rivers have been high and fast which makes for bad bass fishing in my experience. Hopefully, this is the year I get a new kayak and go on bigger water and in more windier conditions. The only problem is the ones I want or always out of stock when I want it. Here in a few weeks they will be stocking Trout at a least one place here in town. It used to be two spots, but one is drained for maintenance.
@@KJMFISHING Yep that's me. I fish by myself which I enjoy for the most part cuz I am a social worker...which, in turn, makes me antisocial in my "real life" for the most part haha but it'd always be nice to have someone else decent to fish with and you seem like a low stress person that just enjoys fishing which is what I am haha. All my family and friends are individuals that cant seem to find time to do anything they actually enjoy for whatever reason. I even bought my cousin a kayak to go go fishing and he just cant seem to find the time to use it...we went twice last year.
@@KJMFISHING Also, I was being sarcastic bout the records haha. I could care less. My only goal is to not get skunked...ever. Course itd always be nice to catch something decent haha
@@KJMFISHING Also, your lil red kayak is iconic lol. That is how I recognized you that time we met. Goin out on rough water isn't fun no matter what kayak you have. I remember goin out on Bresler in 15 mile per hour wind cuz my supervisor told me it "wasn't that windy" and being fearful for my life haha. I won't be doing that again. I wish I had a little red kayak. I like what I have but it doesn't really have any sentimental value to me other than being my first kayak. I skipped straight to a 1700 dollar kayak so there is honestly not any reason to keep it around; it is not the most expensive or the cheapest.
@@jdrexler3113 - I feel ya on that, I'm pretty anti social. I take my wife sometimes, but she refuses to fish, and I took my cousin a few times and that's about it. I'm low stress because I have to be, stress is the #1 thing that causes me to have seizures ever since my brain surgery. That and I'm on a lot of medication, that why I talk slow at times and am sometimes sluggish. I have to avoid most of my family czu they are full of nothing but drama and it's not good for my health.
You're the next Loomis. I try not to be too equipment reliant but those are some pretty kick ass rods.
