This is by far the biggest house n lot tour I've ever seen on this show
& the biggest price too, 1.2 billion pesos only
The episode 89 is more huge than this, almost double the size, 3000 sq.m for floor area. Even the architectural design is fantastic. The land is smaller though, it is 5000 sg. m.

I’d totally refurbish interior with a total makeover….. Honestly speaking when Filipinos try to do classical old world opulence it usually looks tacky as heck.
If they want to do old world I’d say go for a more colonial look and mix it slightly with modern Asian and they structure would be a dream.
Actual Victorian & Edwardian interior design IS tacky as heck. What you see in the old house tours in Europe is the result of the owner's modernizing efforts, without sacrificing the old world elegance, to make it appeal to modern audiences, but if you look at old pictures of European aristocrats in their ancestral houses, before they decided to open the house to tours, it won't be unusual to see living rooms like the one shown here, plus a TV squeezed in a corner, making it even more tacky.
The industrial revolution gave people from the middle classes upwards extra money which they spent on home improvement. Unfortunately, many people thought more is better, (after all, owning more stuff implies having more money) so they filled their homes with knick knacks, doilies, frilly curtains, etc.
IMO, mid-17th to early 18th century interiors are prettier.
Nope. for you it's tacky but for Arabs these are the design they like. and mind you I am designing for them here in the middle east for 15 years!

hehe lalo sa corruption galing pera or dirty money wala sila pakialam, kahit magkano buy lang ng buy. The decors are all yucky. Para lang madispose nila dirty money nila they will buy kahit ano decor 😂

Yes but not every house. Most middle earners prefer not to have dishwashers because Filipinos likes to hand wash and dry the dishes naturally. Clothes Washer you mean washing machine, they have it in most house holds but not everyone prefers to use it. Centralized Air-Conditioning System most rich families are the ones who have this but not each and every family. You sound like you live in a very wintery country. The climate in Philippines have seasonal changes. From March until May its summer, June up to August rainy, September until February cold not necessarily winter because winter includes snow and it does not snow in this tropical climate counrty. It is wrong to say the weather is warm in the Philippines all year round. Most of the time it is hot here but not as hot as a desert. If you are not use to feeling heat every day I suggest do not go to Philippines or to any country with a tropical climate.

I think the owner of this house is the owner of the Manila Peninsula Hotel. Because why would you copy the exact same thing of the signature facade of a hotel inside your very own lot? Like if I have that money, I would want to have my water feature at home with my own design and not just copied from a hotel.

The house is obviously owned by an affluent. The ensuite bathroom with a sauna isnt just ann ordinary but as if like a size of our 2 BR house! I guess the owner maybe from an aristocratic chinoy family.
Just wondered how much electricity on that property and maintenance. Oh also the maids....how many....you have to earn a lot of money just to spend on that property. All the income will be evolved on this property. We'll obviously the person will buy this ...a millionaire/billionaire. ....but still at the situation of the market now adays....recession and high prices of oil and gas...therefore...electricity here will be 50K to a minimum. I just wondered how long will this be on the market.

Paint the helipad. Dark hallways. Cross ventilation? Insulation between roof and ceiling? Windows and door screens? Too much gold like a dom? could use some tweaking in and out

The Lot is enormous. Only the house, decors, finishes, furnishings, appliances etc. are so dated. Renovations needs a lot of money. Maintenance and utility costs too. Property taxes might be huge. Palatial houses are liabilities, not gaining assets or income property.
If you have money to buy this kind of property, I don't think they worry about those things

For $21 Million USD (1.2 Billion Pesos), you could definitely get a better looking Grand house or Mansion.
Compare that with the US Homes that are on Sotheby's "New & Notable Luxury Homes for sale in $20 Million USD"

Just buy cheaper and connected homes (for their land), then build a Grand Home from the combined land (from the two or three old houses).

Got curious what a Php 1.2B offers and was disappointed. The lot may justify the price, but definitely not the ornate, dated and eerie interior!

I can't see anyone spending that kind of money on this house. No doubt it's huge but it is quite old. It is just so custom-made to the person that owns that you would never feel it is your own house. You would always feel it is the previous owners. If I had $19 million usd to spend on a house it would be a very modern villa with access to a pristine white beach. I think they're going to have to lower the price drastically to sell this property.

I like the huge property just not the interior of the house. It's too gaudy, old fashion. That huge yard will make all my pets go crazy and happy. ☺️🐕🐈
The appliances are dated and so are the bathrooms, viz: gold trims, et al. Julia didn't highlight that most rooms have tray ceilings. The lighting controls are also dated. I agree that the the interior of the house is too gaudy. Many rooms are in disarray.

THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PLACE! Only invited guest can come inside the village if the house owner invites you.

No offense. It's a huge lot but the house looks so busy and crammed with all the decor. For a 1.2B property, I would expect to see a proper garage and a larger backyard. Mikey Bustos' property is half the size but the home has an open plan, is well laid out and has the resort feel. It probably costs 1 quarter of this house.
How is a house that’s extremely outdated and under maintained valued at 1.2B pesos ($12M)? The very first shot of the video is a helipad in dire need of repainting and landscaping trimmed. The front of the property has hollow blocks that wasn’t even covered with natural stones so it shows water calcium stains. The driveway has manufactured stone (fake/concrete) retaining wall. If that was in Beverly Hills, that would be a complete tear down.

Ceilings are low, windows are small, architecture is too 90s, modern billionaires want glass modern homes built in 2023. Like the ones from Draco builders. This house does not have any market for resale.
