  • Matthew 24:10-12, At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.
Mark 4:16-17, In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.
Hebrews 6:4-8, For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.

Those who cannot see the apostasy in the Church today are certainly deceived. The truth is, many believe that Satan told some partial truths in Genesis. I.e., that we will be as God knowing good and evil. I have heard it said over and over that our fallen nature, and the fallen attributes of it; OUR will, OUR love, OUR justice, OUR judgement, etc....are actually a part of the image of God. The truth is, man WAS created in the image of God, but that image has become corrupted, and OUR knowledge of good and evil is flawed (Isa 55:8-9). Yet we are willing to judge God because His word indicates to us a love, and a sense of justice that does not agree with our own?? Thus that HAS to be a poor "interpretation" of scripture, for WE cannot relate to it, nor understand how that love and sense of justice is operating correctly. It is a sad state of affairs when OUR fallen human attributes are used as a gage to judge Gods word, and it has only become prominent in the church in the last 200 or so years. It is indeed the great falling away, and we will soon see the anti-christ arise out of the midst.

Dang a comment like this a year old and no replies? Ill reply, I agree, we are in a time of Apostasy. I see this one big problem. "The biggest problem in the church today is biblical illiteracy." They twist the scriptures so that the scripture disapears behind their "I thinkism". This IS apostasy, and its deception. Its also deadly and sucidal. They WILL lose their salvation or they already have. OR they were never saved to begin with.
People read the bible and while they are reading it their own fleshly mind elevates itself above the word. Their fleshly mind says "I think" this means this and that means that. To describe this fully would take a week. Let me just say again. This IS apostasy and deception. All prophesied.
“Millions are deceived into supposing that they have “accepted Christ” as their “personal Savior”,
who have not received Him as their LORD.” A. W. Pink

      Paul ofTarsus.
You do know that many consider what you proclaim, to be "Lordship Salvation" and to be a heresy ?

The Catholic Church killed between 50 and 400 million Christians. Nobody knows for sure. A safe estimate seems to be 200 million. All for heresy. So I ask you, do you think I care that a bunch of decieved antichrists say the truth is heresy? I'm not offended, indeed I rejoice in the truth. My job is only one thing, "tell the truth with love." Your response is not my concern. That would be between you and God.
In the meantime I tell the truth. Love is the motivation. I can do nothing more. Wish I could but if Jesus being tortured to death innocent on the cross doesnt get your attention, nothing will. Dont forget Jesus IS the truth. John 14:6 What you and your ilk dont seem to understand is truth matters. You do not. "Without me, ye are nothing." What part dont you understand? I feel sorry for you to be honest.
And I have learned yet another lesson on the depth of deception. No wonder Jesus warned us specifically against deception. The truth is heresy now, amazing. Good job their smart guy. The truth is heresy. "It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment." cya their smart guy :)

+Paul ofTarsus , do you believe that the non-believer has a 'Non-fleshly mind', or that they have something other than a fleshly mind? Or are they actually fleshly, themselves?

Can somebody tell me If Jesus was God why he called God as "My God" Before and after resurrection?
*Before resurrection Jesus calling God Almighty as MY GOD:*
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matthew 27:46(NIV) About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").
John 20:17(NIV) Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to *my Father and your Father, to my God and your God*.'"
*After resurrection Jesus calling God Almighty as MY GOD:*
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Revelation 3:12(NIV) The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of *my God*. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of *my God* and the name of the city of *my God*, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from *my God*; and I will also write on them my new name.
The logic that after Jesus resurrection he went back from human form to being God again, SO he should not say "my god" again instead he should say "I" but Jesus still pointing to God as his God even after his resurrection.
If Jesus was God Revelation 3:12 verse should be as following:
The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in *MY* -the- temple -of my God-. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them *MY* -the- name -of my God- and the name of *MY* -the- city -of my God-, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of *MY* heaven -from my God-; and I will also write on them my new name.
*_If this is not login i do not know what logic is then._*

*Your question:* Can somebody tell me If Jesus was God why he called God as "My God" Before and after resurrection? Before resurrection Jesus calling God Almighty as MY GOD:
Matthew 27:46 (NIV) About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").
*My reply:* Jesus was fulfilling the prophecy written in Psalm 22 which points to Him. I suggest you read Psalm 22 all the way through. Every Jew in the audience of His crucifixion knew exactly what Jesus meant. It’s a prophecy of Him being crucified.
*Your question:* John 20:17 (NIV) Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
*My reply* True Christians believe in the trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We see this in:
Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit”
1 Peter 1:1-2 “Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be …”
Hopefully, this may help you to understand. Let's start by examining the opening verses in John's Gospel:
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
John uses the Greek word logos to describe Jesus "in the beginning," or before creation and time began. Logos means word, but specifically it means the spoken word or a statement. Jesus is God's spoken word, according to John.
John then explains that the Word (Jesus) was "with" God and "was" God. This statement yields two important conclusions regarding Jesus and the Trinity: Jesus is God and existed from the beginning as God, yet Jesus' existence is somehow distinct from God the Father. Jesus was "with" God and "was" God at the same time. This is the mystery of the Trinity: all three Persons in the Godhead are One God and yet all are distinct from one another.
Moving to verse 3, John says that it was the Word (Him) that created all things. From this statement, we begin to see why Jesus is called the "Word" by John. Consider these facts we learn from John's Gospel and elsewhere in Scripture:
First, we know from scripture that God the Father is Spirit (John 4:24), meaning He doesn't exist in physical form. So, there is no physical substance to God the Father. The Creation cannot experience the Father as He truly is, since we are bound to a physical dimension yet He is not physical.
Secondly, we know that God's Spirit is likewise invisible (John 3:6-8). He can only be known by observing His work in the Creation.
On the other hand, Jesus is the member of the Godhead responsible for all physical matter. As John said, all things were made by and through Jesus. Paul says the same thing in Col 1:15-17.
Moreover, Paul teaches in Colossians that Jesus is the "image of the invisible God." Therefore, He is the only Person in the Godhead Who has entered into and become a part of the physical creation. Jesus can be seen in a physical sense, because He is the One Who entered into the Creation and become a part of it (i.e., became incarnate).
Therefore, Jesus is the One within the Trinity Who is associated with Creation, both as its source and as an ambassador of the Godhead to that creation.
Next, consider how the Creation itself was established in Genesis 1. Genesis 1 teaches that the world was created by the spoken word of God (note the repeating phrase in Genesis 1, "Then God said..."). So when God the Father determined to create the universe and everything in it, He "spoke" it into existence. But as John said in verse 3, Jesus was the One who made all things, therefore we can say that Jesus was God's logos, or spoken Word.
We can begin to understand this partnership (at least to some degree) by drawing an analogy to how our own thoughts and words reach into the physical word. When we desire to command something to happen in the world around us, we must first conceive the idea in our minds. No one can see our thoughts. They are invisible, yet they certainly exist. Without our thoughts, we could purpose to do nothing at all.
If our thoughts are to become visible in some way, they must move from the invisible realm of our mind and into the physical world. The progression from invisible to visible requires we transfer our invisible thoughts into a spoken command. The brain communicates our thoughts to our mouth where it becomes logos: spoken words.
Once the spoken word leaves our mouth, it enters the physical world and yields its intended effect. This simple analogy helps explain how God the Father worked with God the Son (i.e., the Word) to establish Creation.
This is John's meaning when he says that Jesus is the Word. He meant that Jesus is the physical manifestation of God the Father, just as a spoken word is the physical manifestation of our inner thoughts. Until Jesus took action and created the universe, there was no physical reality to God's presence. But when God "spoke" (i.e., when Jesus took action), the Creation came into existence.
Later, Jesus arrived in Person to meet with His creation, and as Jesus spoke His words to His disciples, He fulfilled the Father's purpose by providing a physical representation of the Godhead to His creation. Hebrews says it this way:
Heb. 1:1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
Heb. 1:2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
Heb. 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power...
Paul reiterates this same thought in Colossians when he says:
Col. 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Col. 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Jesus is the Word because He was the means through which the Father brought all physical reality into existence and because He is the One Who represents the Father's invisible nature and character to that creation. Just as your spoken word is the physical manifestation of your thoughts and personality, Jesus is the "Word" of the invisible God to His creation.

Mohammad *Your question:* If Jesus was fulfilling a prophecy in Matthew 27:46, why he said "why have you forsaken me" how rude saying to accuse God that he forsake anybody.
*My reply:* Did you even read Psalm 22? Jesus is taking the verse verbatim from Psalm 22:
Psalm 22 speaks of a man who cries out to God for deliverance from intense persecution. There are parallels between the details in Psalm 22 and the details written in the New Testament about Jesus' crucifixion, such as:
In Psalm 22:6, it speaks of a man surrounded by others who scorn and despise him. This is what happened to Jesus in Matthew 27:39 and Mark 15:29.
In Psalm 22:7, it speaks of a man being mocked, which is similar in the descriptions of Jesus' crucifixion given in Matthew 27:31, Mark 15:20 and Luke 22:63; 23:36.
In Psalm 22:8, it says, "He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him." In Matthew 27:43, Jesus’ enemies taunted him by saying, "He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him."
In Psalm 22:16, it speaks of a man who was numbered with the transgressors, meaning an innocent man being regarded as being one of a group of criminals. Jesus too was numbered with the transgressors when he was crucified next to two criminals, as described in Matthew 27:38, Mark 15:27, Luke 23:32 and John 19:18.
In Psalm 22:16, it speaks of a man whose hands and feet are either pierced, or mauled, or disfigured, depending on which is truly the best English translation of the original verse. In John 19:23,34,37 - Jesus' hands and feet were pierced with nails during the crucifixion process.
In Psalm 22:17, it speaks of a man who would be surrounded by others who stared and gloated at him. This too was the situation for Jesus during the crucifixion, according to Matthew 27:36 and Luke 23:35.
In Psalm 22:18, onlookers gamble for pieces of clothing that belonged to the person being persecuted. As explained in Matthew 27:35, Roman soldiers gambled (cast lots) for articles of Jesus' clothing while he was being crucified.
There are other descriptions in Psalm 22 that sound like an accurate description of what would happen to a person being crucified, such as the disjointing of bones, the drying up of a person's strength, an intense sense of thirst, a heart melting like wax (Jesus was stabbed in the side with a spear during his crucifixion), and being "poured out" of one's body. When Jesus was stabbed, blood and water poured out from the wound.
*Your question:* You said "True Christians believe in the trinity" and you quoted John 1:1 According to John you should believe in Duality Not Trinity since the Holy Spirit was not even exists in the beginning. John says in the beginning there were 2 persons THE WORD and GOD.
*My reply:* John is merely explaining the correlation between the Father and the Son. Other passages speak of the correlation of the Holy Spirit to the Father and the Son. You have to study the concepts and not just cherry-pick one verse and say see, it doesn’t make sense to me. The reason why it doesn’t make sense to you is because it takes the Holy Spirit to teach and reprove you. You are simply trying to find fault with the bible, and that’s the sum of your experience with studying the bible. Turn to Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and pray that He teaches you. I will guarantee that you will understand. I was no different than you not so long ago.
*Your question:* If Jesus had made all these fantastic claims about himself being a God, why only John the one to write it down in his book? The Christian scholar James Dunn writes in his book The Evidence for Jesus: “If they were part of the original words of Jesus himself, how could it be that only John picked them up and none of the others? John contradicts himself when he told us the purpose why he authors his gospel.
*My reply:* James Dunn, as with N. T. Wright, E. P. Sanders, and even Bart D. Ehrman go far beyond the written text and attempt to delve into the minds of the participants in the bible and early Jews as a whole, then attempt to frame some kind of nebulas mind-reading trick, e.g. Paul must have thought this way, and John thought this way, and since John thought different from Paul we have to come to this conclusion. That’s nonsense. They are liberal idiots, and not taken seriously by anyone that actually believes in God.
*Your question:* John 20:31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. If John himself is telling you “…Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God…” then in no way in any verse of his Gospel he was pointing to Jesus as God.
*My reply:* Jesus is our Messiah, to those who believe. And He is a prophet, and the Son of God. Lets look at some verses:
Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”
Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 2:8 - (Jesus is the First and the Last)
Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer)
2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 44:24 - (God created the world by Himself alone)
John 1:3; Colossians 1:16 - (Jesus made all things)
John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM [He], you will die in your sins.”
John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”
*Your assertion:* Also it contradicts many other biblical verses that tell us God created Jesus. Proverbs 8:22 (NIV) The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; Colossians 1:15 (NIV) The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
*My reply:* Where in Proverbs 8:22 and Colossians 1:15 does it state that Jesus was created??? Jesus wasn’t created by the Father. Jesus and the Father are one. Jesus is the physical person that is God. We see in Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer), we then see in 2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ”
*Your assertion:* You did not answer my question, what is the need for Jesus to keep calling God as "MY GOD" after he resurrection.
*My reply:* I probably didn’t understand what you’re talking about. Your grammar isn’t the greatest. Because, even after His resurrection He is still a separate person from God the Father. In order for Jesus to be a propitiation for your sins in this world He would have to have been sacrificed in this world. Jesus after the resurrection became that conduit to continue His propitiation even after death: 1 John 2:2, “He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours alone, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
