If I do start a winter save it'll be Aris FC. But I've been enjoying playing Sol De Mayo in Argentina with a custom expanded database of the country. The new club world cup is honestly exciting for a south american save and I'll want to win that before moving on I think.
Wimbledon on FM07 was my best save ever. You had to holiday a year and they usually got promoted to the lowest playable league at which point you added yourself as manager. Did 25 seasons or so. Great times.
I played AFC Wimbledon 2 years ago. It took me about 14 seasons to become regular European contender and to reach late knockout stages of the competitions. It was indeed one of my best saves. FM 23 is going to be making Osasuna ("Health" in Basque) the best team in La Liga. I am considering Basque players only for additional difficulty.
Amazing vid, many vids just say teams like your local team, or teams like Barca or union Berlin… but this video made every save sound fun, it’s also a nice touch that you show how to recreate their tactic
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback. All the credit goes to researcher Simon for coming up these three clubs. He is an expert at finding interesting clubs to manage in FM
I like the idea of choosing a club and instead of using one of these, I'll try to create my own. Maybe a high tempo style with a trequartista playing as Espanyol or another Spanish club.
Interesting. I’ve been thinking about doing a save similar to your stream save trying to win each of the top 5 leagues with the caveat of having to use the stereotypical style of football for each country. Crazy gang is in there for England but I’ve been struggling with France. Maybe the Nantes style is one to go for?
@@FMLlama Definitely! I think it has to be an aggressive Gegenpress for Germany. I’ve had many a conversation about the ‘French way’ of playing though and never really come to a consensus. Glad for your suggestions!
Right now, I am in seventh season with Hertha Berlin. It's been fun, but I plan on retiring the save soon For my next save I want to play as good young team with strong academy in weaker league. Puskas academia in Hungary seems like the best team to choose.
Hello, I always have this type of save every year. Pick hajduk split and transfer players whose only nationality are the ones from yugoslavia, except for Serbia, because they are in tensions or that was my first impression when I started the first save. I include here also Albania, I might have swiss players with kosovo nationality or german with bosnian heritage. I also tend to coach the same national teams, no germany or other teams. So far I enjoy it a lot, sometimes I transfer Turks or from other nationalities because I dont have options
Speaking of styles of play … how about a save in which you can only use the catennacio style? Could be at Inter but starting at the lowest playable level of Italian football would be a real challenge!
That's a tricky one - certainly there aren't any that I'm aware of that have such iconic styles of play. That doesn't mean there aren't clubs with great histories at that level though, but perhaps not clubs famed for a style of play
If you're starting a new save when the Winter update is released, let us know who you've decided to manage!
Whe will that be, you think Llama?
@@jasonfox9466 I think it will be some time this week

I love the idea of adding the extra restrictions. Good luck at Osasuna

Love that you went to the effort of suggesting a tactic to embrace the experience better! Thank you!
Brilliant. Three outstanding choices. 😎👍
Thank you kindly! Hopefully, we'll be getting a couple more of these videos out over the next couple of weeks
quality video mate, glad ive found you so early on!
Glad you liked it. Welcome to the channel
Another brilliant video Llama 👏
Thanks for the support Drew
I love these , Llama.
I'm really glad people like them. They are a lot of fun to make

Whatever is it about the Wimbledon style that appealed Llama? Not known for your 80s style long ball 442 😂
I'm a fan of the beautiful game Greeno, what can I say!

Absolutely! And Catennacio for Italy and Tiki-Taka for Spain. Just need Germany to complete the set!

Thinking of starting a new Ajax save where I sell all the players, then exit the game.
Not the most productive, but cathartic.
I like the sound of that - but I'd stick around to build a new squad!
if you love Feyenoord or PSV you will do that
Another brilliant video
Thanks GT. I appreciate the kind words
Youth only save seems very appealing at Nantes 🇫🇷
Stop it now! I don't need much encouragement to begin a Youth Only save

@@FMLlama as a Serbian that lives near border and has contact with many Hungarians I can confirm this!

That sounds fantastic. I always like to impose restrictions on my save to give them a bit of identity. Good luck at Hajduk!

That is a fabulous idea for a save. 'The Catennacio Diaries'
@@FMLlama Chronicles?
"A Brief History of Relegations"
great video lads
i will play as nonce
Crazy gang style. Epic.
It's how I want Kingstonian to play!
@@FMLlama have to get ur own modern day Vinnie jones!!! Time to sign another player llama!!!
Great ideas, that was some team Nantes had.
They really did and I'd forgotten about some of those players in the squad. Patrick Loko was a real blast from the past!
you spelt it wrong
Could you do the 1966 North Korean style? Was that called Chollima?
I've not heard of that style. I'm pleased to say that '66 was one of the few tournaments that was before my time!
Ooh interesting
I liked all 3 clubs, but recreating that Wimbledon style did speak to me!
@FM Llama I'm still having go sort out computer etc but when I do I might take some of these styles or a mix and make a new one haha
how about taking a Dutch team from the Tweede Divisie to the Eredivisie
My Dobfather series was very nearly about Den Bosch. I would love to do a Dutch save at some point. Who would you suggest a clubs with a good story?
@@FMLlama take someone maybe like Spakenburg (will need a database though)
Is there any clubs with this type history you can start unemployed with no badges and maybe get a job with
