i've seen people post a clip of using speak with animals to actually get the snake to convince Kagha to change her mind. Not sure if it's ranger only, or what because i don't recall having the option when I had the potion running, but I've seen a clip of it. It was actually pretty sweet. The snake was WAY more chill about the whole situation than the humanoids were.
@@biancunt2784 wonder why I didn't see it on my druid playthrough? Maybe i forgot to have speak with animals up? Or maybe it has to be one of your actual spells and not just the potion buff?
@@PKFl4sh so my question now is what triggers it? because when i made my druid, i didn't bother picking up the speak with animals spell, because i know how easy it is to simply make potions for that, or just get that one amulet that gives it to you. Do you know if in order to have this option, that not only do you have to be druid and/or ranger, but actually have chosen speak with animals as one of your starter spells? Because that was actually something I was looking forward to doing with my druid, but it didn't come up as an option, which confused me.
You do and it was my greatest joy to choose that option in my playthrough lol. I imagine my Tav said it with the prettiest and most unsettling smile too.
Did it as a halfling barbarian Durge. I get immense pleasure out of intimidating people twice my size, plus it makes interacting with Karlach in particular so much better.
@ihatetmntshreddersrevenge2543 Why don't you focus your time and efforts on things you like, rather than things you hate? It might help you find more joy in life.
You can with the knoll "Fiend" you fight at the cave. You can use your tadpole to command the tadpole in it's head to start tearing apart it's brain then command it to rip it's own throat out. Pretty gnarly I've only had the option show up once though throughout my multiple play throughs tho. It just randomly started a conversation in the middle of battle I had it turn against the other knolls as well.
@@shutupkittyxDWasn't that random for me. I've replayed that interaction several times and usually it happens with the party member she is closest to at her turn; it can't be someone who is hesitating about using the tadpole, and if you injure her too much the interaction is skipped. I usually position either Astarion or Gale in front of her, depending on who I want to unlock that parasite power for, and then keep either character close to her afterward to make sure she converses with the same character for the chance to rend her mind. The only reasons I won't use Durge/Tav to do that are if I'm playing a "don't trust the mind flayer" run or my Durge is an 8 INT and 8 WIS barbarian with no chance in hell.
Karlach is a sweet girl at heart (or engine, whatever), loves animals, children, nature and all things good. But DON'T fuck around in her presence, she's Chaotic-Good for a reason. From the few times when the game cut from combat to dialogue and it was her upfront for me, sounds like playing as her is really fun. Especially if you choose berserker (unpopular, but I love it).
God that’s why I’m doing a barbarian dark urge for my second playthrough and just terrify all the minor villains into giving up and the major villains into wishing they could
It remindes me old of story about Stalin. There was a little girl that got in some ceremonial thing with comunist party. Stalin grabed her and said somthing to near soldier. It was a Stalin words so she remembered it for rest of her life. Late late after war she came to gregorian translator and those word got translated. It was somthing like "get this child away or I get it killed".
Aha, the good old intimidation. I’ve gone past this with my Karlach and didn’t choose that option. The ruder options are more interesting than I realised, at first I was worried about having my characters be rude. Granted, I often save in case of a battle cos I don’t want that for everyone.
Vera Farmiga, and I don't think her and Patrick are actually married but then again I'm not as addicted to gossip as most (don't give a fuck, really) so I wouldn't know
Perhaps Kaga is too hot-tempered, but on the whole she is right. Tieflings behave like pigs, being guests they have the audacity to demand (reminds you of anything?). This girl will not change based on the conversation with her and her spineless parents (maybe they're just the same). Almost all tiefling children are scammers and thieves. The incident with the girl and Kaga was deliberately presented so that there would be no sympathy for Kaga. In essence, the developer imposes his idea. Another interesting point is that the good druid has an African phenotype, and the evil one has a white European phenotype. By the way, upon arrival at Baldur's Gate, a very similar manipulation occurs - the white villain wants to drive out the refugees (moved into his house without asking) and is involved in a crime against small children... All this is very similar to primitive manipulation of consciousness. It’s interesting to see how the Western gaming industry is getting more and more dirty in such topics. Moreover, the Lariens don’t even have a publisher.
The girl is one of the living embodiments of the Weave. She touched the idol because she was drawn to the magic within it, not because she was trying to steal it. Mol, on the other hand, is a complete psycho, point taken. But the adults are not nearly the 'pigs' you describe. The children are opportunistic (though most of them are reticent to do so), but they are all also refugees who have seen massive amounts of death and horror. Kahga wants to execute everyone who doesn't do exactly what she says, not to mention she is a LITERAL traitor to her Circle. You know the whole Shadow Druid in hiding story line you seem to be wholly ignoring.

I think it's druid specific, since I've only seen it done with a druid.
Seems to be Druid/Ranger specific. Trying it with anyone else has her just say that she only obeys Kagha.

Kahga: "What? No!"
Karlach "You wanna?"
