thanks alot. i bought this phone and after two days, i thought it only used a single sim until i saw this video. i can now use my dual sims. but they could've added a slot for the sd card.

this was a great video. now i know if you want to put in storage(sd card) you need to use the lower tray for the sim card.

I have an s5 dual sim and it also has a slot for micro sd so you can utilize all three, was hoping the P8 would do the same but doesn't look like you can due to the iphone design of not being able to open the back up... sucks.

Hi , can you use both slim slots simultaneously ie. 1st sim slot for calls and 2nd sim slot for data and if so do you have to manually switch between because we can't seem to get it right.

Major design fault for those who take videos. But I suppose the second SIM can be removed before taking the video but that needs planning.

go to Mobile setting And search there ..Dual card Management.. and turn on both sim.. i hope it will help you
I was thinking that I'm the only one with that problem. How to activate the other one
will both slots support 4G cards? In a picture I saw the top one depicting that the top slot is (it seems) only for a GSM card and the lower slot for a 4G card... I wish to use two 4G capable network cards in different countries.

Hey there. I recently got my P8 Lite from MTN South Africa and I received it with a contract nano-SIM powered by MTN of course. I inserted the nano-SIM on slot 2(the upper one) numerous times but it never worked. I even tried inserting the micro-SIM on the lower slot(slot 1) but both ways didn't work. Please assist me! Much appreciated. Great video

I bought this phone recently and i found your video very helpful but I wanted to ask what to do if the phone doesn't pick up the sd. I have only inserted one sd card. I saw in the comments that it maybe needs to be formated but is there any other option ?
+Jimmy James Try switching the phone on and off and then inserting the card again. If the sd card has been used on another device prior, the formatting may not be compatible.

There is a setting to choose which will be your default mobile data which has 3G/4g SIM card. Only one supports mobile data I guess
+Sara Yeap Only SIM 1 will have 3G and 4G. Sim 2 will have 2G data.

Hello, I need help. I have an Huawei p9 lite (Version EMUI 4.1.,type VNS-L31) with one slot, but 3 options for 2 nano sim and micro sd. the problem is, if I put the 2. nano sim in this slot, my smartphone doesn't register it.

you can't use nano and micro sd together. only microsd+micro sim or just nano without miscro sd ;(

Hey! Is the nano SIM card "locked" to function only with 2G bandwidth? I inserted a nano SIM card there and doesn't see it. The carrier told me it's because the network is 3G but the phone supports only 2G in the second slot. Is it true? Can you recommend a fix?
The first slot is locked to one carrier and the second one isn't. That's why I want to use it like that.

Correct. You would need an micro SIM adapter for your nano SIM, and use the microSD card. (=
