      What Randi and Carson did was soooooooooooooooo smooth!! They went and got real silver ware made of silver the good old thick kind probably about a 400 dollar set take a pair of channel locks to bend it hahaha see Yuri used the cheapest made spoons possible you can find the exact kind at Walmart think it's a 3 piece set for 1.25 aka restaurant style spoons, they bend super duper easy and how he made them just fall apart and break easy man. You take the spoon and bend it back and forth repeatedly off stage at home and literally work it till its about to break, about 20 bends back and forth maybe 25 idk and right before it's about to break stop 🛑 you have it rigged.

    Difference between a true magician and a conman is that the magician makes it clear that what he is doing is merely sophisticated trickery to deceive the senses of the audience for the purposes of entertainment (even if he doesn’t reveal the exact mechanism behind his tricks), where as a conman not only deceives the eyes his audience but also lies and seeks to intellectually deceive them (into believing something suitable to his/her agenda).

  • @buildingmentalmuscle
    @buildingmentalmuscle Год назад +7

    I think the reason Uri's career wasn't destroyed that night on the Carson show, was because many viewers wanted to believe Uri did have superpowers. And so then framed the fact that because Uri didn't display them that night, because Uri was being pressured, he was legit. Without understanding the preparation neccessary to perform magic tricks, they justified his failure to perform as proof of him being legitimate. Because, they thought, if he was relying on tricks he would have been able to perform. I do believe however that real "magic" is possible by some people, but not Uri Geller. BTW, I was sucked in, I still have a Uri Geller Kit I bought back then with a crystal that has been "personally empowered" by him.

      It is hard to overcome biases. This is why many still believe Dr. Fauci and think Biden is doing a good job.
      Humans, in my opinion, are pack animals, which means they have a tendency to follow "alphas and experts." To discredit their "alpha" is to leave them feeling naked and vulnerable.
      Randi started out as a magician (a fraud), and in my opinion, still is.

      "Magic" doesn't exist

    • @brianmueller7913
      @brianmueller7913 Год назад

      @@FlyManChimeraOf course magic does not exist because it is brought to us by magicians who readily admit that they are tricking you. But ask Randi to comment on the likeliness that UFO's, Sasquatch, ghosts, God, the afterlife or NDE's are real. He will answer just like that blockhead Neil DeGrass Tyson would answer and say all of that stuff is fake as well. My point is that Randy is catering to a crowd that religiously follow so called experts or scientists and doubt everything else. Take him off the subject of Uri Geller and you'd find out how unwise (stupid) he really is. Even the masters, Penn and Teller, would laugh at the UFO phenomenon. I wonder if they are still laughing now after the largest scientific institution in the world, The Pentagon, publicly admitted that they are real? Oh how people like to lead and follow other people.

    • @El3ctr0Lun4
      @El3ctr0Lun4 Год назад +2

      There has never been any demonstration of "real" magic ever. And sure, there have been things that we don't have an explanation for, but there has never been anything for which the cause was investigated and was demonstrated to be "magic".

    • @brianmueller7913
      @brianmueller7913 Год назад

      @@El3ctr0Lun4 Your comment goes far beyond Randy and Geller. You use the word "investigate." Well, do you believe that UFO's or Sasquatch have ever been OPENLY investigated by a large, well funded scientific institution? One that has access to all of our govt findings.
      Randy's cynicism goes far beyond Geller when he starts by saying "magical thinking is a slippery slope." Why does he say it is "dangerous" to believe in a fake like Geller? Because there are a slough of other topics that he believes are fake as well...without ever "investigating." And there is a group of followers that will look at Randy like an expert on all that is fake.
