I’m a friend of yours on ps4, thank you for teaching me this deke. Very well taught and I knew how to do it in 15 mins. Thank you man keep posting tutorials like this.
For those wondering. it works better if you're a left handed player coming in from the left side while gliding. so right handers will come in from the right side while gliding. It seems to have a higher percentage.
@@krevlow He's saying if you're a left handed shooter it works better if you skate in diagonally from left to right. If you're a right handed shooter it works better if you skate in diagonally from right to left. I tend to agree with this.
If EA patches this but doesnt fix the embarrassing errors and glitches in Offline modes, ill seriously mail EA an envelope filled with Anthrax and my fart.
Done it a few times just trying to smack the puck. Nice how you perfected it though. I don't think EA would or could do anything about that it's just using controls to mix things up. Shows that you have almost complete control of your player making it more realistic gameplay is all.

@@llamapenNHL You have too much pull man! And yea i was joking at their lack of real "updates". There are still guarantee dekes that work every shootout that havnt been patched.

I do my own dekes all the time using vision control EA needs to somehow program just enough dekes to allow players to chain them together and or do them differently or with a twist of their own.
Any way you can do some training videos on move advanced skill stick techniques. For example how to hold puck w stick pulled away with control and a lil more direction on how to do that chop puck tuttis deke that you created
What would you think about holding Y or triangle being a feasible way to avoid hits coming down the boards? You can only do it at very slow speeds from my testing, if they could make it available at higher speeds and take away like the little 1.5 to 2 second buffer it take to start the animation.
It used to be a great tactic back in NHL 14 and in previous years, but yea that buffer time makes it less useful. I've seen people try to do it but it doesn't seem particularly effective.

Hi! Is there any advice you have for getting the puck to actually chip? I’ve mastered the Kyle turris but when I manual poke it just hits the puck most of the time
I have the most success with highly skilled players who are right handed and under 6 feet tall. Go into practice mode with Brayden Point and try it out. Then go into shootout mode as the Leafs and set your lines so you've got Marner, Nylander, Barrie and try it with them. You aren't going to get it to work most times, but you can get more consistent with it with practice.
llamapen NHL ok thank you, I was using Mcdavid and I got it to chip like 3 times out of 40, but I’ll be sure to try out some other players and use it in different instances
I feel like my problem with it is consistently doing the turris deke. I know the mechanics, but instead I’ll overcommit and it well go between the legs or behind the back (Because of that the second part is useless). Any tips?
It's really hard to say. Make sure you are barely moving that stick down to 6 oclock after you press in L1. If you move it too far you'll go between the legs. Not sure why you would be getting a behind the back deke tho.

In EASHL I got it with the smallest possible dangler you can build. It's much less consistent in EASHL, possibly due to the lower player rating. I've mostly gotten it in shootout or practice mode.
Probably only going to work against a user goalie. AI would just simply catch it. But at the blue line with pressing defenders it would be an awesome move.
