- update on the G! a lot of new parts and finally got my tc back from powder coating after a damn month been working day and night prepping cleaning and painting small parts etc
eBay mitzone brand valve cover update: installed and seal the spark plug tube super tight like oem, no leaks at all!!! make sure to add a nice bead of silicone on the outer corner of the engine head, bc that’s where oil will usually sit and want to leak!

October 21:
while doing a maintenance check I noticed oil was leaking from my ignition coil on one side, removed the ignition coil, oil was flooding the inside of the spark plug tube, a lot of oil. I checked the rest of the remaining 5 tubes and all were fine no oil, I am thinking of buying on oem valve cover from my local junkyard and only replacing the valve cover that was leaking oil into the spark plug tube, since the other side cover had no oil gonna to run these a little longer before completely buying oems, hopefully the junkyard oem covers will seal good bc they’re probably super old. Alternative: I can maybe fill the inside of the valve cover where the ring seal is with silicone as a cheap alternative for now. My final opinion is I still think the eBay covers can be worth it maybe, because I only had one bad seal which again maybe I can fix with silicone, who knows maybe some eBay parts can be hit or miss.

yeah I’m getting oem vc and either oem gaskets or vel pro. Cover is leaking from rear side everything was torqued right so I guess the eBay gaskets are boo. Lesson learned GO OEM really thought I could get away with this also DONT GO TO THE JUNKYARD AND GET AN OLD OEM ONE, it’s a hit or miss, you don’t know how old that cover is I went there and when I got home I saw the seal was cracked probably super old.

finally got the G assembled and she’s running! No leaks at all did a full inspection, make sure to add silicone on the outer two edges bc the oil will usually sit there but yeah the coil pack seal is tight like oem.
